In other to get more athletes and sportsmen to take part in the Cardano ecosystem, we need to catch their attention. Getting them to do what they enjoy best will secure their maximum attention.
Cardano Marathon 1.0 will use marathon events to attract at least 500+ athletes all over the country who will convene in the city of Tamale to be educated on cardano ecosystem, project catalyst and all they need to know about blockchain technology.
These marathon events will engage athletes in both mental and physical competitions all aimed at promoting cardano ecosystem. Mouth watering prizes will be up for grasp for best performing athletes
[IMPACT] How does your proposed solution address the challenge and what benefits will this bring to the Cardano ecosystem?
Organizing Cardano Marathon 1.0 will enlighten at least 500+ athletes in Ghana about Cardano and its benefits to the society as well as the opportunities it offers for sportsmen.
Secondly, there will be an increased involvement of athletes in the cardano ecosystem. Some of them will put in projects for funding in Project catalyst. Others will also engage in staking activities. All these will go a long way to boost the value of Ada.
[IMPACT] How do you intend to measure the success of your project?
The success of Cardano Marathon 1.0 will be measured using the following benchmarks;
- 500+ athletes across the country competing in the marathon
- At least 400 athletes creating accounts on Ideascale to be part of project catalyst.
- A minimum of 200 athletes creating their Yoroi wallets and taking part in staking events.

We intend to share the output of this project using all approved channels for sending reports on project catalyst.
The community will be able to access all the activities of this project through our social media handles
[CAPABILITY/ FEASIBILITY] What is your capability to deliver your project with high levels of trust and accountability?
We will be able to deliver this project effectively due to the following reasons:
- Jeremiah Baani, our lead educator/facilitator has some appreciable years of experience when it comes to providing education about the cardano ecosystem and blockchain. He was the Lead facilitator/organizer of Cardano summit 2022 in Tamale which was organized very successfully.
- Benjamin Baani has also been involved in several activities in the cardano ecosystem. He was among the key speakers of Cardano summit 2022 in Tamale.
- Yehuza Mohammed is a professional cyclist. He is currently the Secretary for the Northern Regional Cycling Association.
- Kojo Owusu Appiah is a cardano enthusiast who has been actively involved in activities in two funding rounds. He is also an educator who has 10+ years in the education sector.

The main goals of this project are:
- Getting at least 500 athletes to be actively involved in the cardano ecosystem.
- Creating awareness of cardano among athletes in Ghana
- Making Cardano a house-hold name in Ghana
- Increase the number of proposal submission by athletes from Ghana

1st Month
- Secure police permit for the marathon event.
- Secure the involvement of the Ghana Tourism Authority.
- Radio/Tv advertisement of the marathon to get athletes to register
- Collaborate with the Ghana Cycling Federation to organize the marathon.
- Collaborate with the Tamale sports council to organize the marathon.
- Organize a publicity tour with some of the athletes
2nd Month
- Conducting heats for the marathon event
- Selecting participants for the event
- Cardano education workshops for participants
- Creating accounts for 500+ athletes on idea scale to take part in project catalyst.
- Creating accounts for 500+ athletes to have Yoroi wallets
3rd Month
- Kick start of main event.
