Some members of the Cardano community lack the entrepreneurial skills needed to establish or grow their businesses.
The entrepreneurship classes at the Catalyst After Town Hall will provide community members with the knowledge and skills they need to start their own businesses.
This is the total amount allocated to Catalyst After Town Hall Entrepreneurship Series.
None
The project is dependent on Catalyst Town Hall taking place, and After Town Hall being available. In the event that After Town Hall is ever canceled on the dates chosen, we will utilize our StreamYard server to record the lesson and share it via YouTube.
Project will be fully open source.
4 - Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all
8 - Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all
17 - Strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development
The purpose of this project is to provide entrepreneurship classes at the Catalyst After Town Hall. These classes will cover a variety of topics, including opportunity identification, business planning, financial planning, marketing, sales, customer service, teamwork, leadership, ethics, growth, and succession planning. The classes will be taught by Lloyd Duhon, COO of DripDropz and an experienced entrepreneur and business professional.
The classes will be held every other Wednesday of each month from 11 October 2023 through 28 February 2024. Each class will be one hour long. The classes will be held in a breakout room at the conclusion of the main Town Hall event
The target audience for the classes is Cardano blockchain enthusiasts and Catalyst project builders who are interested in entrepreneurship and want to improve their Cardano Businesses.Â
The classes will be interactive and engaging. Participants will have the opportunity to participate in discussions, exercises, and projects. They will also have the opportunity to network with other professionals in our space.
The classes will provide the participants with the knowledge and skills they need to start or improve their own businesses. The participants will learn how to identify business opportunities, write business plans, raise capital, market their products or services, and sell their products or services. They will also learn about customer service, teamwork, leadership, ethics, growth, and succession planning.
The classes will help to create a more entrepreneurial community. The community members who participate in the classes will be more likely to start their own businesses. They will also be more likely to contribute to the Cardano economy.
The Catalyst Open Category has four requirements.
This proposal fits all four. We believe that this is a valuable project that will benefit our whole community. The entrepreneurship classes will provide participants with the knowledge and skills they need to start their own businesses.Â
This is a stand alone project, however if the community is receptive, there are other opportunities for classes that can be produced in a similar format in future funding rounds.
We are below the category maximum price, and set at exactly the 6 months of the required short time window.Â
All of our production will be released to the community under the https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ Licensing.Â
We do not fit in another category because there is no category currently for educational classes for the Cardano community.
The project will be successful if an after town hall session is completed, and the video is uploaded to YouTube every other Wednesday for the duration. Additional success will be measured by the number of Short segments produced, and the number of views accumulated by the project over the lifetime of the project.Â
The completed videos from each session will be shared on YouTube. Shorts will be created from each session and will be shared on YouTube, Twitter, and TikTok. At the end of each month, a report will be provided with views for each video. Every Presentation material that is produced will be linked in the video description.

We will validate our approach via typical social media metrics, and through increased participation in after town hall classes.
Milestone 1: Deliver October Lessons
Milestone 2: Deliver November Lessons
Milestone 3: Deliver December Lessons
Milestone 4: Deliver January Lessons
Milestone 5: Deliver February Lessons & Close out.
Each milestone deliverable will consist of a provided lesson at Catalyst After Town Hall, a YouTube upload of the recorded lesson, and 2 or more Short presentations extracted from the lesson. Each Monthly report will consist of the view statistics for the videos, the shorts, and the participation at the lesson live.
The total budget for this project is 74,700 ADA. The budget will be used to offset the costs of building out lesson plans, performing research to ensure that topics remain relevant to the Cardano community, provide the classes and supporting workshops, and then upload an edited finished product to YouTube, and create YouTube/Twitter/TikTok Short videos to further promote and educate within the community.
The integration of entrepreneurship programs in the Catalyst After Town Hall constitutes an irrefutable value proposition for the Cardano ecosystem. As these sessions are poised to equip participants with essential business-starting skills, they can expedite the advancement of several Catalyst projects. There's undeniable assurance in the potential for these entrepreneurial teachings to amplify the growth and triumph of projects in our ecosystem.
