There are still more youth in Ghana who are NOT aware of Cardano Blockchain and Project Catalyst opportunities. They are not yet exposed to education about the Cardano ecosystem. Education can help.
I want to reach out to them, educate and create awareness of Cardano and the opportunities in Catalyst. These youth categories are brilliant orphans in Care Homes who also need this opportunity.
This is the total amount allocated to Catalyst Outreach 4 The Unreached in Ghana. 3 out of 3 milestones are completed.

The category of youth from the age of 17 to 21 who are found in some Care Homes due to inability of extended family members to take care of them after the death of both parents, some of whom have completed High Schools, need to be reached out to, so that they can also get access to the benefits of Project Catalyst. There are very brilliant youth amongst them who can unlock their their entrepreneurial mindset and learn how to turn ideas into thriving business ventures. Some of them might not know that they have such tech minds and could become even developers in future.
Educating them on blockchain and opportunities in Catalyst will help them transform their learning journey with industry experts, gaining practical knowledge and real world experience to shape their future career and academic pursuits.
I believe that these youth who find themselves in these homes also possess great minds that can build innovative business models on Cardano and in effect lead to a great impact on their lives and Cardano as well.
Topics that will be taught include Cardano Blockchain; Project Catalyst and opportunities and Wallet (Yoroi) opening for all interested participants.
My project will engage some Ghana community Hub members to educate these youth. Some members who are Cardano Ambassadors in Ghana such as Nathaniel Dwamena and Mustapha Yakubu will help in the education when I contact them to do so.
The impact will be proven through their participation, their eagerness to register on Ideascale and start thinking of how they can be active members of the Cardano Community; and also how some will become proposers, Community Reviewers and other roles in Catalyst as well. From my previous two Projects in Fund 8 and Fund 9 - Ghana Youth Onboarding Outreach 1 and 2, there have been significant numbers of Ideascale registration, Africa Town Hall participation, Community Reviewers, and they keep on spreading the news about Cardano. These youth were mainly in Tertiary Institutions.
With this project, I am focusing on the youth who have been neglected and stuck in Care Orphanage Homes but they also have great minds. They are sound and attend High Schools and they are also looking for such opportunities to break out into a bright future. Some may have great Tech minds but they are not exposed to such education, which I have decided to reach out to them. I am targeting to impact about 250 youth in this category. I will organize three sessions in three different homes within 2 months. I will do a follow up after these education outreaches to see progress in what they learnt.
This project will bring the following impact on Cardano ecosystem:
This project is unique because I am targeting an unreached community who may possess excellent minds which education can bring them out and they can become great members of the Cardano Community and the World at large. Without such education, these minds will be lost.
The Challenge seeks to get more members into the Cardano Community which will lead to expansion in the ecosystem. This project will address this challenge effectively looking at the write up in this page. These potential youth who would become abreast with Cardano could become Voters and DReps in the subsequent Funds.
I will measure the success through the following:
Through my monthly reports to the community which will be made public on You Tube will provide information on the project to the community and to the whole world to see what has happened or happening in Ghana and Africa.
The project will be a two months project with 3 educational sessions. Each session will be a two week interval. The duration is from October to November.
Catalyst will also publish my reports in all their media for the community and the public.
I am a very active member of Cardano Community. I first joined the Wada Community in Ghana during the Fund 6 which I started as a CA. I was also a CA for Fund 7 and 8 and PA for Fund 9 with high integrity. I was a veteran CA for Fund 7 and VPA for Fund 9.
I have been attending Town Hall meetings on regular basis.
My closed out projects in Fund 8 and Fund 9 - Ghana Youth Onboarding Outreach and Ghana Youth Onboarding Outreach 2- were successfully implemented and closed out on time within the stipulated period. These two projects have had very significant impact on the youth in Ghana and I believe that with my passion to help the youth to come out from their shells through education about the Cardano ecosystem will really lead to youth employment and thus reduce unemployment rate and poverty.
I assure the Cardano Community that I am a very trusted member of the community to manage the fund given.
Objectives of the Proposal:
Goals:
My project is about educating the youth to become aware of Cardano ecosystem, and become members, and in the long run become very active members to contribute meaningfully to the ecosystem. In this part of Africa, awareness through education is what our people actually need, so that after understanding the ecosystem, obviously they will make significant input. When I joined in August 2021, I did not understand the whole idea, but in a short while I have been able to understand it.
Implementation:
I intend to launch the project when funded in October 2023 and end by November 30th 2023.
The first session hopefully will be done in mid October, second session in first week of November and third session last week of November and close out reports By first week of December 2023.
Milestones:
1st Milestone:
The first workshop to be held in mid October will target 100 youth at Graceland Care School in the Central Region of Ghana. They will be educated about Cardano Blockchain, project catalyst opportunities and Yoroi wallet and opening of wallets to get the to be part of the ecosystem. They will be encouraged to participate in Africa Town Hall meetings and contribute ideas to the ecosystem.
2nd Milestone:
The second workshop is targeting 100 youth at Ayenha Home in mid November and they will be encouraged to open wallets and become active members of the ecosystem.
3rd Milestone:
The last workshop will be held by 30th November will also target 50 youth and they can also be added to the ecosystem based on their interest. They can contribute meaningfully to the growth of Cardano in the short and long term.
To measure the progress;
Total Budget requested 21000 ADA
Breakdown:
Venue hire for 3 sessions 2400
Education materials(Stationery, other) 800
Equipment (Projector, screen, etc) 2500
Main Speaker for 3 sessions 3000
2 other speakers 2500
Transport to 3 venues 800
Media (banners, flyers, video) 1500
Refreshments for @250 4600
ADA ( for 200 participants to register) 400
Administrative work( power bank, wifi, etc) 2500
All quotes are in ADA.
3 Milestones specific budgets as follows:
Milestone 1 - Mid October - in person event at a venue near Graceland Care School for orphans from the Care Home. Total budget covering venue hire, course materials, labor, etc will cost 7000 ADA.
Milestone 2 - in person event at Ayenha in the Greater Accra Region - total budget covering all the above is 7000 ADA
Milestone 3 - End of November event at Adenta Municipality in the Greater Accra Region - total budget is 7000 ADA.
The budget requested is high value for money. Looking at the current trend of high cost of living, I have considered very low costs of venues closer to the Homes because they do not have bigger spaces for workshops.
My budget is very reasonable and represents value for money.
At the end of these 3 workshops, about 250 youth in Foster homes would have had in depth knowledge about Cardano and their potential would be realized as they continue their education in the tertiary Institutions. Cardano will grow among more youth in Ghana.
