Cardano needs a better variety of non-finance related real-world events that attract new users and effect continued ecosystem growth & blockchain adoption.
We suggest transforming Nucast Film Festival 2023 into a yearly recurring real-world event, as festivals have always been effective marketing tools and platforms for audience engagement and enjoyment.
This is the total amount allocated to Nucast Film Festival: Showcasing Cardano's Real-World Non-Financial Applications with Live Events.

The First Nucast Film Festival, held in March of 2023 was organized in collaboration with NMKR for NFT ticketing. The Festival was initially financed at a loss as a test to gauge community interest. Despite having limited marketing resources and no paid campaigns, the festival received positive feedback from both crypto and non-crypto users. It also garnered attention from the Cardano community and received support from the Cardano Foundation, as evidenced by this tweet, https://twitter.com/Cardano_CF/status/1630159886922268672?s=20
The success of the festival has inspired our team to transform it into an annual event, with the objective of increasing trust, credibility, and sustained interest and engagement. We are now seeking support from the Cardano community and CF10 (Cardano Foundation) to expand the festival's reach and impact.
The Nucast Film Festival includes various components to provide a comprehensive experience:
- Dedicated Landing Page: A dedicated webpage will be created to provide information, updates, and access to the festival.
- Announcement Schedule: A schedule will be set up to announce important dates, such as submission deadlines, finalist announcements, and voting periods.
- NFT Collectible Tickets: NFT tickets will be made available for purchase when the festival opens for submissions. These tickets will grant access to the Nucast streaming page, where users can watch the finalist films.
- Promotional Materials: The festival will have promotional materials, including graphics, videos, and written content, to create awareness and engage the audience.
- Social Media Management: Active social media management will be carried out to promote the festival, engage with participants and viewers, and create buzz around the event.
- Paid Campaigns: To reach a wider audience, targeted paid campaigns will be implemented to amplify the festival's presence and attract more participants.
Once the festival opens for submissions, interested filmmakers and content creators can submit their films for consideration. A rigorous quality assurance process will ensure compliance with entry requirements, ensuring a high standard of films in the festival. NFT ticket holders will have the opportunity to vote for their preferred films, with each NFT carrying equal voting power. Winners will be announced, and prizes will be awarded at the conclusion of the voting period.
Throughout the festival, selected finalists will actively engage in social media events and promotions, enhancing their visibility and participation. This will further generate excitement and increase the festival's impact within the community.
Looking to the future, we plan to take the Nucast Film Festival to a whole new level by focusing on the Indian market as part of our go-to-market (GTM) strategy. We intend to host the festival in person, in Bangalore, India on an annual basis. The event will invite film production houses, independent artists, movie professionals, as well as viewers to participate.
The event will provide a platform for networking, workshops on Cardano and blockchain technology, decentralized voting, and it will showcase various Cardano projects through stalls and interactive activities. Our objective is to create a bridge between the film industry and the Cardano ecosystem, fostering partnerships, collaborations, and driving mass adoption.
By expanding the Nucast Film Festival and hosting the yearly IRL event, the organizers seek to create a lasting impact, build trust, and credibility while promoting the adoption of Cardano's blockchain technology within the film industry and the wider community.

Overall, the proposed expansion of the Nucast Film Festival will contribute to the growth and adoption of Cardano, demonstrating its potential in the film industry while building a vibrant community around decentralized entertainment on the blockchain.
The proposed solution of organizing a real-world web 3 film festival in India aims to address the challenge of creating memorable experiences with a wider base of crypto and non-crypto users, while increasing awareness and adoption of Cardano. Here are the granular details of what will be developed:
Paper Wallet Distribution: As part of the event, paper wallets will be created and distributed to all attendees. These paper wallets will contain partner tokens for free, providing an incentive for people to explore and engage with the Cardano ecosystem.
Stalls for Other Projects: The event will have stalls where other projects can host and showcase their offerings for free. This will allow them to explain their projects and increase awareness of the broader Cardano ecosystem. It will provide attendees with a comprehensive understanding of different projects and opportunities available within the blockchain space.
Rewards and Incentives: Event participants will have the opportunity to earn rewards for their engagement and participation. These rewards can be in the form of tokens, merchandise, or other benefits provided by sponsors and partners. This incentivizes attendees to actively participate and learn about the Cardano ecosystem.
Increased Wallet Adoption: By creating paper wallets for all attendees, the event aims to facilitate the creation of new wallets on the Cardano blockchain. This will contribute to the growth of the Cardano user base and expand the network effect of the ecosystem.
Increased Awareness in India: India is recognized as one of the world's most crypto-adopted countries. By organizing this event in India, the proposal aims to leverage this existing interest and further increase awareness of Cardano within the Indian market. This can lead to a higher conversion ratio of users adopting Cardano and actively participating in the ecosystem.
Overall, this proposed solution of an real-world web 3 film festival with paper wallet distribution, project stalls, rewards, and increased awareness in India aims to create memorable experiences for attendees, foster adoption of Cardano, and provide a platform for various projects to showcase their offerings within the Cardano ecosystem.
Number of Films Participated: Keep track of the total number of films submitted for consideration in the Web 3 Film Festival. This will provide insights into the level of interest and participation from filmmakers in the event.
Number of People Voted: Monitor the number of participants who actively voted for their preferred films using the NFT tickets. This will indicate the level of engagement and involvement of the audience in the festival's voting process.
Attendance: Track the number of attendees at the Web 3 Film Festival. This will give you an idea of the level of interest and participation in the event.
Wallets Created: Monitor the number of paper wallets created and distributed to event attendees. This will help gauge the adoption of Cardano and the interest in partner tokens among the participants.
Awareness and Engagement: Conduct surveys or collect feedback from attendees to assess their awareness and understanding of Cardano and other projects showcased at the event. Determine if the event successfully increased awareness and engaged participants in the world of blockchain.
Partner Participation: Measure the level of participation from other projects hosting stalls at the event. Assess the number of projects present, their engagement with attendees, and their ability to effectively explain their projects. This will indicate the success of the event in promoting awareness of other Cardano projects.
Media Coverage and Social Media Reach: Track the media coverage of the event and the social media reach through hashtags, mentions, shares, and impressions. This will help assess the event's impact beyond the attendees and measure the level of online awareness generated.
By analyzing these metrics, you can evaluate the success of your IRL Web 3 Film Festival in terms of increasing awareness, fostering adoption, and creating memorable touchpoints for both crypto and non-crypto users.
In summary, a combination of these metrics will be used to measure the project's progress and its impact on the target audience.
