Pave a way for easy development of chain indexers, for dApps, wallets, chain explorers, etc. Currently, writing a chain indexer requires intricate knowledge on how to connect to a node and extract data out of it. Mafoc would abstract that away, where the dApp developer would only need to know (1) what they want from the chain and (2) where to send and store it.

[IMPACT] How does your proposed solution address the challenge and what benefits will this bring to the Cardano ecosystem?

A chain indexer is a fold over the blockhain. Mafoc will make that explicit.

It will also:

• expose a set accessors to get data out of the block (via building on the cardano-api library).
• provide runners for indexers, possibly consuming sections of the chain in parallel where the indexer allows it
• have a set of pre-programmed indexers that can be run from the CLI (e.g address balance -- how much ada or other custom asset is at a given address)

In how many and which type of users it will gain. All should benefit from this: dApp developers, data scientists for their single-use studies.

The project is already in development and open source.

I have been working on a similar project in IOG and am familiar with the subject area.
