The problem we want to solve is that every application, game or otherwise, has to end up with a cloud service provider at some point, missing out on the multitude of connections and growth potential
We partner up with one of the biggest cloud service provider in Europe and include parts of our ecosystem in their start-up program with vast educational options on setting up a project on top.
This is the total amount allocated to FluxusNetwork x Scaleway.
Conward Swift
The obvious connection is with Scaleway's partners. The funded project has to go through a quick onboarding through them to get the server side, master courses, investor introductions and the technical support they need.
Project will be fully open source.
This collaboration between Scaleway, as one of the largest cloud service providers in Europe, and FluxusNetwork, as a partner from the Cardano ecosystem, offers numerous benefits to new and existing projects that currently lack options and therefore have to keep relying on Catalyst funding. To support projects, we aim to provide them with the best training in start-up, server and project delivery, while helping them to become self-sufficient.
Most projects from new contributors to our ecosystem don't plan to go beyond the part of creating something of value for our ecosystem, and we want to provide them with the tools to become long term, active members for our ecosystem.
Scaleway is a large company with many connections to industries and governments. They have the expertise and capacity to support our ecosystem and have been trusted partners of FluxusNetwork for over a year. They are willing to share their vast resources to help us secure more successful projects that turn into businesses that can help us take our developer ecosystem to new heights of productivity.
We will communicate openly with Catalyst about what the needs of the emerging projects are and how we can support them. These projects will then be taken over by Scaleway, and Scaleway's experts will do the rest of the work.
It will be quite easy for us to demonstrate that several projects/businesses are receiving active Scaleway start-up support. Participation in educational masterclasses, external meetings with investors and setting up servers or security systems will be well documented and presented as transparently as everything else in the FluxusNetwork.
additional training for start-ups, which is currently completely lacking in the ecosystem
We will start by enrolling at least two companies in the Scaleways and FluxusNetworks Startup Programme and offer all metrics of care for the community to evaluate:
We will produce monthly reports for the community to keep them informed of any new developments, and we are planning a big evaluation presentation at a town hall after we have taken up projects and they have benefited from the start-up program.
There is no doubt that our partner Scaleway, which has employed over 250 people since 1999, is able to implement this proposal flawlessly. It will not be a problem to find projects that need all the advantages mentioned.Â
Since we started using Scaleway's services years ago, there has been a strong partnership, and the documentation of this partnership is what we offer to the community to get a full view of the great impact it will have and how it will strengthen our ecosystem in the long run.
Our main goal is to strengthen the Cardano ecosystem in the long run. Therefore, we focus on training our new contributors in the ecosystem and providing them with all possible support to make their success more likely.
Therefore, we will not only showcase our efforts for these projects, but also include community feedback as a necessary evaluation point.
Month 1: Catalyst onboarding and approach to funded projects (discovery).
Month 2: Onboarding of the first project in Scaleway / + first Masterclass opportunity.
Month 3: Set up server + (let projects submit their proposals) / + Masterclass opportunity / + Evaluation to improve onboarding for next projects.
Month 4: Onboarding of our second project in Scaleway / + Masterclass opportunity for both.
Month 5: Set up server + (let the projects make their proposals) / + Masterclass opportunity for both of them
Month 6: Both projects can focus on their proposals and we add masterclasses, connections for their longevity if they find it helpful
Month 7: Evaluation to improve onboarding and support process / + Masterclass opportunity for both to attend + Presentation to Catalyst Town Hall.
Month 8: Networking opportunities through web2. even more masterclasses to network and navigate the spaces.
Month 9: completion of own proposal and collection of data to show the community what happened and how we improved and achieved our goal
Month 10: additional reserve month to provide additional support to the projects we manage and build the infrastructure for the next catalyst fund in the future, as Scaleway's start-up grant is 12 MONTHS.
We would like to emphasise again that we may adapt parts of the schedule to the cooperating projects, as we do not want to interrupt their development cycle
Month 1: The results are the announcement of the participating projects.
Month 2: The deliverables are the name and date of the first Masterclass and which project is already part of the startup system.
Month 3: The results are the setup of the server / name and date of the next Masterclass opportunity / we collect and implement the feedback from the first onboarding (screenshots)
Month 4: The deliverables are name and date of the first masterclass and which project is already part of the startup system / name and date of the next masterclass opportunity
Month 5: The deliverables are the server setup / Name and date of the next masterclass opportunity / We will collect and implement the feedback from the first onboarding (screenshots)
Month 6: The deliverables are the name and date of the next Masterclass opportunity.
Month 7: Outcomes are an assessment to improve the onboarding and assistance process / Name and date of the next masterclass opportunity + presentation for the Catalyst Town Hall conference on status
Month 8: Deliverables are name and date of next Masterclass opportunity.
Month 9: deliverables are final report and collection of data for final town hall presentation (this should be a new standard)
Month 10: additional reserve month to provide additional support to our mentored projects and build the infrastructure for the next catalyst fund in the future.
going by 1 ADA= 0,25 âŹ
total amount is 95.000 ADA or 23.750âŹ
The servers would have a total of 24.000⏠already and adding the masterclasses and the networking on top ends up being more then double the amount we are asking for easily.
the 35âŹ/hour is below European industry standards. We have been part of the Cardano ecosystem for 4 years and we believe that you have to add a "trust tax" to an operation. We are willing to take a pay cut and prove to the community first that our proposal has immense long term value to our ecosystem.
We have already won with a large company that is spending additional resources to educate our ecosystem and bring the cloud service provider into web3.
Alexander Cimpeanu: Founder of FluxusNetwork and the direct contact to Scaleway and is the contact person for the projects on Scaleway and our process.
Conward Swift & Anna Kolecinski: evaluation & improvements to obnboarding and execution. They will improve the project so we can offer it to more people in more industries in the future
