As the number of assets on-chain increases, it becomes increasingly important that the quality of metadata, ease of entry, and metadata standards are upheld.
Anvil will pioneer a metadata validator, which will function much like an auditing system, prompting the user with corrections to any mistakes before allowing them to complete the process.
This is the total amount allocated to Metadata OnDemand.

Anvil will create a metadata validator, which will function much like an auditing system for inputting metadata for assets generated on Cardano.
The proposed metadata validator would include two pieces. First, an easy-to-use UI for generating metadata, ensuring the quality of metadata and upholding key metadata standards, whether for an NFT or another asset. By utilizing the user-friendly UI and simply adding text when prompted, users will be able to optimize the time it takes to generate the metadata for a single asset, or collection of assets, on Cardano. The second piece will be a metadata validator package for developers, which will serve to validate the metadata json.
Anvil's solution paves the way for project founders, developers, and individual asset creators, among many other users, to focus their time and concentration on more creative tasks. This will accelerate adoption within the Cardano NFT ecosystem and ease the process of creating NFTs on Cardano, which in turn will drive growth and create a more sustainable ecosystem.
The proposed solution aligns with Cardano's goal of becoming the leading blockchain for NFT projects and collections. Moreover, the solution will make it easier for project teams with little experience of building on Cardano to correctly generate asset metadata. Easing this process will be essential if Cardano is to attract real-world businesses that are looking to create NFTs for real estate, financial, identity or credential services.
Anvilâs long-term goal is to create a metadata validator that is highly cost efficient, while still generating enough revenue to maintain the tool and update the prompts whenever necessary. This will be crucial if the metadata validator is to evolve as the Cardano ecosystem evolves. As such, there will be a cost associated with the generation of metadata for each collection created through the platform, which will be implemented at platform launch.
Currently, there is limited advice and support for inputting metadata for assets generated on Cardano. Consequently, the quality of metadata is highly variable and metadata standards are inconsistently applied. Our proposal is to create a Cardano tool, which prompts users to input the correct type of information, and proofs this input for compliance with metadata standards and appropriate use of key terms. This tool will save users time and energy, enabling users to focus on the things that matter more to them. Over the long term, this will reduce barriers to entry for newcomers and help to scale existing projects within the Cardano ecosystem, accelerating adoption, driving growth, strengthening community standards, and ultimately helping to foster a more sustainable ecosystem.

Our plan for sharing the outputs and results of our project revolves around transparent communication with our existing audiences, and the widespread dissemination of information.
We will provide regular updates to the Cardano community through various channels. This will include publishing blog posts and GitHub updates. Furthermore, we will utilise social media such as Discord, Reddit and Twitter to share insights into project developments and success stories.
In addition to sharing our experiences, we are committed to collaborating with projects within and beyond the Cardano ecosystem. By establishing strategic partnerships with project partners, we can leverage their networks to amplify the reach of the proposed metadata normalizer. Through joint initiatives and integrations with other projects, we will maximise the visibility and impact of our results.
Ultimately, our goal is to share the outputs and results of the metadata normalizer in a transparent and accessible manner. By effectively communicating our progress, collaborating with partners, and actively engaging with the community, we will ensure that our project's outcomes reach a broad audience and contribute to the overall development of the Cardano ecosystem.
Anvil Development Agency is a 15-person, international team that is deeply embedded within the Cardano community. Our developers have more than 25 years of combined experience in software development and programming.
Anvil has a proven track record of delivering high quality, and easy-to-use blockchain products since the inception of smart contracts on Cardano. Our team has earned the reputation of being credible, reliable, and delivering on quality.Â
Our products have been used by tens of thousands of individual users, and we have continually improved upon them by taking feedback seriously. The current assortment of user-friendly products such as minting, staking, and exchanges demonstrate the ability of Anvil to execute on this plan in a professional and timely manner.
The main goal is to reduce the amount of time it takes to generate metadata for assets on Cardano, while also providing an easy-to-use UI/UX experience. We will validate our feasibility on usership and assets generated using our metadata normalizer. Our goal is to have over 1,000 users and generate over 100,000 metadata outputs. We will measure the time saved by calculating the average time it takes to create a metadata file using the metadata normalizer compared to the time it would take to learn on their own and produce the file.
End of Month 2:
Creation of Wireframe: Create wireframe for the UI/UX of the single file validator. Ensure that it is easy to understand and display when the metadata is incorrectly input.
Creation of Marketing Plan: Create a marketing campaign around the subsequent release of the validator.
End of Month 3:
Final Draft Revisions: Prepare and finalize content, layout, and design.
End of Month 6:
Creation of Alpha Platform: Create the platform for single use metadata input validation. Create metadata developer specific tooling.
Showcasing wireframe - Build a wireframe for the UI/UX portion of the metadata creation tool.
Testing - Showcasing speed, concurrency, and scalability of platform. Ability to properly correct and convert metadata.
MVP alpha - Working product, final revisions after testing.
Platform launch - Platform is live.
Marketing - 10%
Design - 20%
Project Planning and Management - 10%
Development - 60%
Month 1-2: 20% of budget
Month 3: 10% of budget
Month 4-6: 60% of budget
Month 7-8: 10% of budget
Users of the metadata normalizer tool will save time on a mundane task, which must be completed for every asset generated on Cardano. Furthermore, the metadata validator will ensure higher quality metadata and metadata standards, and allow project teams to focus on more creative and innovative tasks, driving all of Cardano forward.
