Project will be fully open source in the sense that we will be transparent in all our efforts and will include the community in anything we can (for example, voting for artist to be exposed).
Our project contributes to several UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by creating a nexus of blockchain, digital arts, and sustainability.
SDG #12 - Responsible Consumption and Production: We'll promote sustainable practices in digital arts through a marketplace that encourages responsible consumption. Our focus will be on reducing the ecological impact of our platform and its operations. We will utilize the energy-efficient nature of the Cardano blockchain and adhere to the best practices for digital sustainability. By doing so, we can help in transforming how digital art is created, bought, and sold, thereby promoting responsible consumption and production.
Thus, our project not only aligns with these specific SDGs but also embodies the spirit of the SDGs as a whole: to promote prosperity while protecting the planet.
The ArtCardano project aims to solve the lack of curated, sustainable digital art collections in the Cardano ecosystem by developing a dedicated platform. This platform will feature carefully curated pieces from globally recognized artists, curators, and art institutions. These collaborations will add prestige to the platform, attracting attention and fostering a thriving community of digital art enthusiasts, collectors, and investors.
The ArtCardano project will enrich the Cardano ecosystem by integrating a curated, sustainable marketplace for digital art and NFTs. This marketplace will host exclusive collections and virtual exhibitions, showcasing pieces from renowned artists and institutions. These curated collections will boost the intrinsic value of the NFTs and provide unique visual and interactive experiences, attracting collectors and art enthusiasts. Additionally, the project will embody sustainability principles, appealing to users who prioritize eco-friendly practices. This has the potential to significantly increase the user base, transaction volume, and overall activity within the Cardano ecosystem. It also positions Cardano as a prominent hub for digital arts in the blockchain world.
The success of the project will be measured by the successful launch of the platform, user acquisition and engagement metrics, the creation of curated collections and exhibitions, and the adherence to sustainability goals. User feedback, engagement levels, and transaction volumes will serve as indicators of success. The project's impact on the Cardano ecosystem will be evaluated based on the increase in active users, transaction volume, and the platform's reputation as a hub for digital arts.
The project's outputs and results will be shared with stakeholders and the community through regular project updates on social media as well as discord. These updates will detail completed tasks, ongoing activities, milestones reached, challenges encountered, and adjustments made. The project's results will also be shared with the wider Cardano community, highlighting the achievements, impact, and opportunities arising from the project.
Our team has robust experience in blockchain technology, digital art curation, and sustainability. Stale, Kieran, and Adawg have development experience particularly revolving art markets. Chadi is a professional artist and has displayed in galleries throughout the world. Nic has extensive sales experience. The team's expertise and established relationships in the field will contribute to the project's trustworthiness and accountability.
The main goals for the ArtCardano project include platform development, artist collaboration and onboarding, collection creation and exhibition setup, and final launch and marketing. These goals will be achieved through a 12-month timeline with specific milestones and tasks. The feasibility of the approach will be validated through the successful completion of each milestone and the achievement of predefined success criteria.
The ArtCardano project will follow a 12-month timeline split into four primary phases:
The specific tasks and activities within each phase will be further detailed in the project plan and will be subject to adjustment based on the project's progress and emerging requirements.
The team required to complete the project consists of the following members:
The total team budget for the 12-month period is 80,000 ADA
We’re committed to self-funding or finding alternate funding to meet the remaining project cost if additional costs are incurred.
The project's impact on the Cardano ecosystem, such as increased user engagement, transaction volume, and reputation as a hub for digital arts, presents long-term value for the ecosystem. The project aims to attract artists, curators, collectors, and investors, fostering a vibrant community and driving economic activity within the Cardano blockchain. We will be making a home for artists from outside our ecosystem within our ecosystem.
Taking into account that we will also be self-funding if needed, the costs associated with the proposal are justified based on industry standards and the complexity of the tasks involved. The rates for team members align with their level of expertise and the prevailing market rates for similar roles. The budget is proportional to the project's goals and objectives, representing a reasonable investment for the expected outcomes and impact it will bring to the Cardano ecosystem.
