Running Eternl wallet for a prolonged amount of time, we are faced with lots of basic questions from users.
We believe it is important for users to understand the basics of the Cardano blockchain and Eternl Wallet in order to safely navigate this space. Therefore, it is important to have resources that explain basic concepts and terms to new users.Â
We have started creating a wiki to serve as a guide for new users. It includes explanations of important terms as well as tutorials and user guides. So far, this has been a side project because we are a small team and need to manage our resources. But with external funding, we could hire a staff member dedicated to this task.
Products need to be easy to use and users need guidance when they start in the Cardano ecosystem. this project helps to achieve that goal.
It is difficult to define benchmarks for educational success. Of course, we can monitor page views and user statistics for our wiki, but that only shows site usage, not necessarily educational success.
Â
User participation in the translation of wiki content might be a useful measure of the success of our approach.
We will provide monthly reports illustrating the progress of content creation.Â
The Eternl team is well-known in the Cardano community and has been providing wallet services for some time. We have the technical knowledge and skills to create the wiki and provide useful content. We have even started setting up the wiki, as we see this as a useful and beneficial tool for Cardano novices and Eternl users alike.
Our goal is to provide users with as much useful content as possible. Judging by the questions that come up in our Discord, we can and have integrated new content and guidance for frequently asked questions. We will guide users in Discord to use them.
With the requested funds, we plan to add 6 to 8 articles per month to the wiki. We will focus on questions asked by our users to add immediate value. The requested funds will only cover a fraction of the total cost of building and populating the wiki, but would still be helpful. We intend to remain dedicated to this project and continue it beyond the lifespan of this proposal.
For each milestone (1 month), 6-8 articles will be added to the wiki. We will provide a list of the added articles each month.
The content of the wiki is created by a single documentation author over a period of 3 months. A part-time content creator costs about 1,500⏠per month.
Funds requested are based on:
Total: 20,760 ADA
Amount per month: 6,920 ADA
Informing new users and providing easy-to-follow instructions on how to use our wallet will help new users navigate this space safely.
