Small Scale Industrialists in Ghana are NOT aware of Cardano and ADA; they are NOT aware that they can keep ADA as savings; saving in the normal banks is not encouraging due to low interest rates.
My project is geared towards making these Industrialists aware that they can keep ADA as their savings towards future investments; Yoroi wallets will be opened for them and educate them on Cardano.
This is the total amount allocated to Industrialists As ADA Holders in GHANA.
There is no joint proposal.
No dependencies.
Project will be fully open source.

4.1 - By 2030, ensure that all girls and boys complete free, equitable and quality primary and secondary education leading to relevant and effective learning outcomes
4.4 - By 2030, substantially increase the number of youth and adults who have relevant skills, including technical and vocational skills, for employment, decent jobs and entrepreneurship
8.3 - Promote development-oriented policies that support productive activities, decent job creation, entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation, and encourage the formalization and growth of micro-, small- and medium-sized enterprises, including through access to financial services
As said earlier, small scale Industrialists in Ghana mostly struggle to save because they do not get any significant interest earned on their deposits; again they have to join long queues in the banks at the time they need their money for imminent investment.
Due to this fact, I seek to propose to help these Industrialists (Local Fruit Juice Manufacturers, Local detergent manufacturers and many others) to turn to Cardano, open Yoroi wallets which is simple to download and open and also not complicated to use, and buy ADA and keep as savings. Those who can become Voters can also do so and thus participate actively in the ecosystem.
I will educate 60 small scale manufacturers across the various sectors by going to them personally in their manufacturing sites to educate them and open wallets for them. The wallet opening will be done by any willing volunteer from Wada Ghana who is available.
With impact, I am looking forward to opening wallets for the after educating them one on one, and depositing 5 ADA to each as a start to whet their appetite to get more ADA. This gesture will automatically increase ADA holders in the community and growth in Cardano as well. As these 60 Industrialists get the benefits of ADA, they will tell others and bring in more people to hold ADA as savings.
The Challenge seeks to add on to Cardano ecosystem. This project is aimed at promoting ADA to the small scale Industrialists in Ghana to become ADA holders and eventually some becoming Voters. This is addressing the challenge effectively. Cardano ill grow by 60 ADA holders who will also bring more people when they see the benefits of keeping ADA.
Measure of Success:
Detailed Plan:
Due to success in the project, I will continue to the next fund and extend the opportunities to more Industrialists since they are far more than 60. 60 has been chosen for the period because of the daily rounds to their sites to educate them one on one and to open Yoroi wallet for them.

I am a trusted member. Professionally I am a Human Resource Consultant with over 25 years experience. Goals:
Milestone and Tasks:
Emelia Sarfo - the main proposer and main Resource person to deliver- have one on one contact with Industrialists and educate them.
Key activities will be from Mid November when Contacts are made to the list of Industrialists. One on one trips to their work sites to educate them about Cardano blockchain and ADA;, how to benefit by saving in ADA form to have access to their funds any time they want it, and avoid long queues in the bank.
Any team volunteer from Wada Ghana who is available to assist to open wallets for the Industrialists.
Milestones:
Mid November 2023- start of work. I will make a list of the different Industrialists I want to see to educate and open wallets for them. I will contact them and tell them my intentions.
Mid November through to December- Constant visits to get them educated and registered.
After the first month that is Mid November to mid December will be a milestone to report on 40 participants and proof of wallets opened.
Mid December to end of December is another milestone to target 20 educated and registered.
Reports will be sent to the Catalyst Community.
Total Budget Requested 15000 ADA
Breakdown:
Transport (Fuel for daily rounds) for 2 months 4000
Resource Persons for 2 Months 5500
Education materials 1200
Wifi and Power bank 1800
Media - pictures and video 1200
Administration costs(Miscellaneous) 1000
ADA for 60 Industrialists (5 per one) 300
All quotes are in ADA
Milestone 1 budget - mid November to mid December - targeting to reach out to 40 Industrialists one on one basis in their industry sites - total budget - 10000 ADA
Milestone 2 - mid December to end of December 2023 targeting 20 Industrialists in their industry sites on one on one basis. Total budget - 5000 ADA
Looking at the cost of living in Ghana presently, transportation and all economic activities have become unbearable. But I have managed to cut the budget low to gain value for the work that is to be done.
At the end of this project, the Industrialists who become ADA holders may eventually become voters and DReps to grow the Cardano ecosystem.
These Industrialists in Ghana have a lot of unbanked cash due to inability to visit the banks often to deposit through long queues. By buying ADA subsequently online, transactions and savings become easier for them. Having much ADA will lead them to roles such as Voters and DReps. This is great value for money for the Cardano ecosystem.
