We hope to make the platform an asset to the open-source community, as they will be able to efficiently organize the development of complex projects and access great talent with ease. The platform source code will not be open source.

One of the key promises of cryptocurrency is to finally allow each person to be in direct control of the fruits of their labor. Right now, big banks and governments choose monetary policy, printing more whenever they want. This causes inflation, a hidden tax on everyone that we, the people, never chose. This results in a non-democratic, non-consensual theft of the value of the fruits of our labor. Cryptocurrency promises to return the control of our money back to us. This revolution is currently being stymied by the economic reality that it’s not efficient to use cryptocurrency for purchases when we keep getting paid in Fiat currency. We need to convert from Fiat to crypto, and then the merchant needs to convert from crypto to Fiat to pay their costs. Round-trip, we lose around 3.0% (source), meaning using cryptocurrency in daily transactions is 3% more expensive than using cash. If millions of people were paid in Cardano, they would create an unstoppable demand force that would drive global adoption of Cardano.

Our goal is to contribute towards creating this high demand by making Cardano the default mode of payment on Visioneer. Visioneer is a freelancing platform for project managers, entrepreneurs, and small businesses, with access to a vast pool of freelance talent.

Here are our main goals for the development of Visioneer:

1. Allow managers to lay out their vision, visually communicate it to a team, minimize risks, and generally have security that their project is going according to plan
2. Allow freelancers to have a self-directed, intrinsically-fulfilling learning and career development experience that delightfully also pays the bill

When people are paid in ADA, they will be able to seamlessly make purchases with ADA without incurring the economic cost of exchanging from and to fiat. This can unleash a new wave of Cardano adoption for daily transactions.

[IMPACT] How does your proposed solution address the challenge and what benefits will this bring to the Cardano ecosystem?

Our aim is to contribute to the global adoption of Cardano cryptocurrency. By making ADA the default payment method for freelancers on our platform, we can encourage those users to spend the ADA directly, without the adoption-crippling effects of currency conversions.

This project will be successful if:

• We completed all of the milestones.
• The world now has a freelancing platform that evangelizes Cardano and uses it as a default method to pay freelancers. With Cardano in their pocket, they will then be economically incentivized to use it to buy other goods and services without the added cost of exchanging from and to fiat. The resulting goal is a virtuous cycle of Cardano adoption.
