The lack of awareness and understanding of blockchain technology and its potential applications among students in Ghana hinder their participation in the blockchain revolution & the Cardano ecosystem.

Solution

To empower 50 student ambassadors, provide training, resources & education to support their peers, organize events, & promote awareness & engagement with blockchain & Cardano in Ghanaian institutions

Barbara Ofosu - Program coordinator

Barbara is a recent graduate of the university of Cape Coast and currently a campus Convener at YAFO institute, where she has been working for the past three years. During her time there, she has organized series of successful events at institutions such as the University of Cape Coast, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, and Methodist university focusing on various topics including entrepreneurship and blockchain technology, among others. Through her work, she has established collaborations with many organizations and campus offices, which she plans to utilize to ensure the success of this program, Additionally, Barbara has served as a proposal assessor in Fund 9. She has a strong interest in working with student groups and firsthand experience connecting with students and maximizing opportunities for them.

Asamoah Kwaku Junior - Financial manager

Asamoah brings to the team a rich experience in the banking sector. He has a degree in Economics from the Kwame Nkrumah university of Science and Technology and has been a part of the Cardano community for some time. He will oversee the budget allocation and financial transactions of the program. Additionally, he will ensure financial management, adherence to budget guidelines and accurate record keeping.
