Many promising Cardano projects struggle to meet the 100k ADA threshold required for proposal submission, limiting their chances of being accepted.
This is the total amount allocated to CoSponsor by Sundae Labs: A Community Crowdfunding Tool for Proposal Submission.

We will develop CoSponsor, a platform where users can browse proposals and collectively fund them until they reach 100k ADA, ensuring community-driven projects meet the submission threshold.
No Dependencies
We intend to release the entire project as fully open source under the Apache License, Version 2.0. All code elements related to CoSponsor by Sundae Labs, including smart contracts, backend, and frontend code, will be available in an open-source repository throughout the project’s lifecycle. This will ensure transparency, community collaboration, and accessibility for all developers interested in contributing to or utilizing the platform.
The new CoSponsor platform will allow community members to browse different Cardano governance proposals and contribute funds to help them reach the 100k ADA submission threshold. The platform will pool contributions, and once a proposal reaches the required 100k ADA, the funds will be returned to the contributors, and the proposal will be officially submitted.
Key features include:
• Proposal Browsing: Users can easily browse through governance proposals seeking funding to meet the 100k ADA threshold.
• Contribution System: Users can add funds to proposals they want to support, with funds pooled together until the threshold is met.
• Automatic Refund: When a proposal reaches 100k ADA, the system will return all contributed funds to the backers, ensuring transparency and trust.
• Low Friction for Proposers: This system allows proposers to submit their ideas without needing the upfront 100k ADA, making the process more accessible and community-driven.
By enabling the community to collectively fund proposals, we remove barriers for proposers and empower the community to back initiatives they believe in.
This platform will provide several key benefits:
• Increased Proposal Submissions: More proposals will reach the 100k ADA threshold, increasing the diversity and quantity of proposals.
• Community Empowerment: The platform allows community members to directly support proposals they care about, democratizing access.
• Reduced Barriers for Proposers: Innovators can submit proposals without needing to secure 100k ADA upfront, making the process more inclusive.
Impact Measurement:
• Number of Supported Proposals: Tracking the number of proposals that successfully reach 100k ADA through the platform.
• Community Engagement: Measuring the number of users contributing funds and the total volume of funds contributed to proposals.
• Submission Success Rate: Monitoring the rate of successful proposal submissions after using the CoSponsor platform.
Outputs Sharing: Significant platform updates will be shared with the community on the portal, maintaining transparency and fostering community involvement.
Sundae Labs has demonstrated its ability to build decentralized financial tools for the Cardano ecosystem. With a scope focusing on core functionality—browsing, contributing, and refunds—our team is fully capable of delivering this product within the proposed timeline and budget.
We will implement a simple user experience for both proposers and contributors, focusing on secure smart contract development to handle contributions and refunds automatically.
Trust and Accountability: The CoSponsor platform will be developed in an open-source manner with code audits to ensure security and transparency. Regular progress updates will be shared with the community.
Milestone 1: Platform Development and Smart Contract Implementation (Month 1-2)
Milestone 2: User Testing and Feedback (Month 3)
Final Milestone: Public Launch and Full Platform Release (End of Month 3)
• Lead Developer (Sundae Labs): Responsible for smart contract development, platform architecture, and integration with Cardano.
• Frontend Developer: Focused on building the user interface for browsing and contributing to proposals.
• Project Manager: Ensures milestones are met and coordinates between development and testing teams.
• QA Engineer: Conducts testing and ensures all platform functionality works as expected.
•Development Costs: $25,000 (smart contract development, platform design, and implementation)
• Project Management and Operations: $3,000 (coordination, reporting, and oversight)
• Community Outreach and Marketing: $2,000 (promoting the platform and onboarding users)
Third-party Services:
• Security Auditors: To ensure the security and transparency of the platform’s smart contracts.
• Marketing Agencies: For promoting the platform and onboarding users to increase engagement.
The reduced scope of the CoSponsor platform allows us to deliver key functionality within a modest budget of $30,000. Each cost element has been carefully allocated to ensure we meet the platform’s core objectives—enabling the community to support proposals without requiring proposers to have 100k ADA upfront. The requested funds will ensure the delivery of a secure, scalable, and user-friendly platform that directly addresses a key barrier in the proposal submission process.
