Organize a hackathon in Barcelona for European developers, with a prior workshop and support in project development.
Sin dependencias
The proposal itself is not open source but its results are since the developers who participate in the hackathon are the ones who are going to develop in open source.
Problem:
The lack of events promoting the development of decentralized applications on the Cardano network in Europe.
Strategy:
Organize a hackathon in Barcelona to bring together developers from all over Europe.
Organize a workshop-style meeting for those interested prior to the hackanton. Provide mentoring and resources to support participants in the development of their projects.
Impact:
Increased development activity in the Cardano ecosystem.
Creation of new decentralized applications that drive the adoption and usefulness of Cardano.
Organizing this hackathon in Barcelona will help increase the visibility and adoption of Cardano in Europe by encouraging the development of new decentralized applications on its network. Additionally, it will strengthen the developer community and promote innovation in the Cardano ecosystem.
The feasibility of the approach will be validated through the participation and interest of the developer community in the hackathon, as well as through the evaluation of the projects developed during the event and their subsequent impact on the Cardano ecosystem.
Key Milestones to Successfully Complete the Project:
Selection of the place and date of the hackathon.
Promotion and registration of participants.
Organization and execution of the event.
Evaluation of the developed projects and selection of winners.
Evaluation of the impact of the hackathon on the Cardano ecosystem.
The selection of the place and date of the hackathon: October 26, 27 and 28 in Barcelona, Cowork space called Impact Hub to be confirmed.
The promotion and registration of participants completed. The event has not yet been declared
The organization and execution of the hackathon. By Nicole Fucili
The evaluation of the developed projects and selection of winners. Positive future development evaluation
Evaluating the impact of the hackathon on the Cardano ecosystem:
The evaluation of the impact of the hackathon on the Cardano ecosystem will be carried out by collecting data on participation in the event, the performance of the developed projects and feedback from the participants. This will include metrics such as the number of participants, the quality of projects submitted, the level of interaction between developers, and the perceived impact on the Cardano community. Additionally, a detailed report will be prepared that will analyze this data and provide a clear view of the impact of the hackathon on the promotion, adoption and development of Cardano.
Visual or documentary evidence is presented that demonstrates the successful execution of the hackathon, including activities, sessions and ceremonies.
Project evaluation criteria are clear and objective, and a transparent methodology is used to select winners.

Budget Analysis:
The proposed budget of âł226,632.162441 represents a reasonable cost for 100,000 organization and execution of a hackathon of this scale, considering the expenses associated with the promotion, logistics, operations, content development and evaluation of the event. This investment guarantees the quality and success of the hackathon, as well as a positive impact on the Cardano ecosystem, thus establishing good value for money.
The project will positively influence:
Maximizing Impact: The allocated budget guarantees the organization and execution of a high-quality hackathon in Barcelona, maximizing the impact of the event on the promotion, adoption and development of Cardano in Europe.
Investment in the Future: The hackathon will serve as a catalyst for innovation and development in the Cardano ecosystem, resulting in the creation of new decentralized applications that will drive the long-term utility and adoption of the network.
Networking and Collaboration: The event will facilitate future collaboration opportunities that benefit the Cardano ecosystem.
Brand Promotion
The cost of the project represents a strategic investment that will generate a significant return for the Cardano ecosystem by fostering innovation, adoption and collaboration in the European developer community.
