We want to address the lack of Cardano developers and contributors in the Philippines.
This is the total amount allocated to CSWAP Systems: Cardano Education in the Philippines.
Conduct a series of workshops to educate and promote Cardano technologies and tools to university students, professors, instructors, and developers from the private sector.
Support from Emurgo Academy to provide us with official training materials and resources. Assistance from Emurgo to review and assess the quality of the training materials.
Mainly, we need a reasonable number of participants in order for the project to be considered a success. We also need a good set of participants who will actually help us promote the ecosystem to their friends, colleagues, and networks.
As for the training, we need to make sure that we have access to the necessary materials, preferably, official materials from Emurgo or Cardano Foundation, if not, we will have to develop the training materials and program internally.

Currently, the majority of universities in the Philippines do not offer blockchain subjects in their IT courses so most students are not aware of these emerging technologies. Although there are available resources online, most students or fresh graduates won't be able to fully understand and apply these concepts without external support and guidance. Even university professors and instructors don't have the necessary experience with these relatively new technologies so it would be challenging for them to teach or promote blockchain technologies.
First we will conduct an assessment to measure the current level of awareness of university professors and students on blockchain technologies. Then we will design a training course which will cover topics from basic blockchain concepts until smart contract development with Cardano. We will invite participants from different universities, students and professors to attend our training course. We can also invite participants from private companies and government agencies. The training course will be held in multiple cities or provinces in order to maximize our reach. Ideally the training will be a 3-day event, 1st day will be dedicated to core concepts, 2nd day will be Cardano development, 3rd day will be a hands-on session / mini-hackathon for the participants to come up with some ideas.

Answer: By growing Cardano-capable developers in the Philippines, Cardano projects will be able to take advantage of the available pool of talents in the Philippines who are globally competitive yet cost effective.
Our team has been building dApps in Cardano for more than 2 years. Some of our core team members are located in the Philippines and have past experience conducting training and seminars for national certifications for IT professionals in the Philippines (PhilNITS).
We will be reaching out to training institutions or consultants who can help us organize, handle non-technical aspects in order to ensure the success of the project.

The Standard Cardano Summit Pass costs $115. Our target no. of participants is 160 individuals. The cheapest airfare going to Dubai from Manila costs around $400. Just the pass and airfare alone is already $515 per person. For 160 persons that's already a total of $82400 not including hotel accommodation.
