As a seasoned recruiter, I have been frustrated and have felt frustration from candidates on current recruitment practices and people management within Web3 companies. Candidates who decide to have a career in Blockchain roles seek professional, sustainable and innovative opportunities.
On the other hand, only a few projects end up lasting in the ecosystem, while other face what seem to be unconquerable challenges: How do I market my project ? How do I make sure my project is compliant and regulated ? How do I hire someone who has the necessary skills to make my project grow without being able to assess those skills ? I just raised funds for my project to grow, how do I manage this growth?

The ecosystem will receive external best practices, as we will be working with Web3 and Blockchain professionals who do not work exclusively on Cardano. This allows the ecosystem to receive the expertise of people with a brand-new perspective.

Etienne and Valériane, we are brother and sister. We are very close, always leveraging one another and most importantly, we are very complimentary. A bit like combining IQ and EQ.
Etienne is very rigorous, takes measured risks confidently and is hardworking. He is a citizen of the world who perfectly knows how to work in an international and multicultural environment. Professionally, he is motivated by challenges and performance. He is ambitious and sets clear and reachable goals to thrive. He is specialized in Finance and Business Administration and has been in Cardano since 2017. He currently works as a Due Diligence Specialist for a world leading gaming company.
Valériane’s goal in life is to create a better world by helping people collaborate. She has a way of fostering people to move onward and to be solution-oriented. She is specialized in International Business and Responsible HR Management. Furthermore, she worked for two prestigious recruitment firms before being an independent Recruiter & HR consultant in Web3. Consequently, she already knows how to manage billing, tax requirements and has knowledge in labor law. She’s also working with the founders of Women In Web3 France to include more women in Tech through education, her course is called “Including women in Tech from a recruitment perspective”.
We are convinced that combining our skills and competencies can make a huge impact for the ecosystem. Especially since we know how to work and communicate together. We reciprocally trust each other, and we want to bring our values to the ecosystem.
Why are we building this project?
We are both invested in Cardano, and it is due time for us to make a positive impact on the space. It has showed us how transparency, innovation and sustainability drive the ecosystem to evolve. On top of that, the community is inclusive and always pushes everyone to succeed. We deeply believe that the ecosystem has still so much to bring to the world, and we want to help Cardano builders tap into their full potential.
How do we work together?
Etienne works with laws and numbers. In other words, he will be in charge of all administrative, financial and regulatory compliance tasks for our company and clients. He will also be the one managing finances and setting clear KPI for us to work in a results-oriented way.
Valériane works with people. She will be in charge of guiding founders, projects owners and candidates in their goals and aspirations. She will recruit for companies and help them improve their hiring process and team management practices. Additionally, she will carefully select a set of advisors (paid external service providers) who will be willing to help projects founders in their growth.

Our common and personal background:
We are brother and sister, living in Malta and France. We grew up in Hong Kong, allowing us to step in an international and multicultural environment. Our parents taught us how to be autonomous and how to rely on each other. We communicate a lot and the trust we have for one another enables us to speak our mind freely by being open to debate effectively. Our two complementary personalities have always helped us excel in different aspects of our lives. It has always been a dream for us to open a company together. Creating the Cardano Agency makes a lot of sense to us as it is the perfect opportunity to do what we love for an ecosystem that we cherish.
