[SOLUTION] Please describe your proposed solution
This proposal aims to elevate awareness of Cardano Project Catalyst and Ada adoption through primary school teachers in 20 Accra schools assuming a minimum of 10 teachers. Recognizing the crucial role of Project Catalyst in Ada's operational usage, especially for blockchain applications and payment platforms in Accra, there's a pressing need to deepen awareness. Its clear there is a large share the Accra, Ghana region community members need to cover if adoption would increase greatly in the short term. Teachers and school administrators will play a pivotal role as a medium in this strategy, serving as influential channels for widespread education and adoption within the Ghanaian, Accra community.
To increase awareness of Cardano Project Catalyst and promote the adoption of Ada among teachers in 20 primary schools in Accra, we propose the following activities:
Stage 1: Inception Activities
- Hold a meeting with various school management teams and owners and select at least 20 of them to introduce the project.
- Develop the project catalyst Project training materials and the concept of Teacher Catalyst clubs.
- Schedule the bi-monthly workshop for the 20 selected schools. Two workshops would be conducted for each school to broaden and deepen their understanding.
Stage 2: Bi-Monthly Educational Sessions
- Conduct first workshop session on these areas; introducing Cardano, Project Catalyst and their opportunities, Basics of blockchain and their importance. We shall also learn how to to generate ideas.
- The second session would comprise, hands-on support on the usage of idea scale for developing proposals, conducting reviews on proposals; and Ada wallet creation and adoption (give out Ada as incentive), introduction to communities outside idea scale; telegram pages and their activities etc.
- These sessions would be held for each school assuming a minimum of 10 teachers participating.
Stage 3: Preparatory Activities and Launching of the Teacher Catalyst Club
- Plan and prepare club content.
- Advertise widely to invite interested teachers.
- Launch the club, elect Cardano reps from the schools and discuss plans on how to deepen Cardano in their schools.
Stage 4: Post Launch Activities
- Establish online forums or WhatsApp groups led by project leadership and club leadership for sharing experiences, ask questions so far in their journey with understanding Project Catalyst and their objectives. This will be held twice after the launch to close the project.
Stage 5: Project Close Out
- Design evaluation and feedback questionnaire on the project
- Generate project Close out report on all activities
Risk Management
Meeting with each school individually ensures minimal disruption to their operational plans, enhancing project effectiveness. Online sessions post-education mitigate excessive disruptions, maintaining motivation.
Sustainability Plan
- Â Club activities would commence during every cycle to ensure continuous learning on Project Catalyst, maximizing benefits for both the fund and teachers and increase in the number of schoolteachers to sustain the initiative.
[IMPACT] Please define the positive impact your project will have on the wider Cardano community
Positive Impact of the project on Cardano Community;
- Increased in awareness creation of Cardano and Project Catalyst among School Teachers in Accra
- Increased in wallet creation, Ada adoption and usage
- Increase in Community Solutions to the credit of Project Catalyst.
- Sharing the project activities and club activities on any of these platforms YouTube, Telegram, Facebook, and twitter would further increasing the visibility of Cardano and Project Catalyst.Â
[CAPABILITY & FEASIBILITY] What is your capability to deliver your project with high levels of trust and accountability? How do you intend to validate if your approach is feasible?
The project is feasible because I have necessary skills and experience in training and workshop organisation.
Stella is a Cardano community member and has been involved in Project Catalyst since Fund 10. Am currently implementing project; feasibility studies on creating a blockchain based information platform for NGOs She has reviewed proposals from fund 10 and 11. She is also attended workshops organised by fellow Ghanaian projects such as creating awareness of Cardano and project catalyst in the francophone communities in Ghana and attended a workshop organised by WADA in Ghana.
I would also maintain transparency throughout the project by regularly submitting updates to Catalyst.iohk.io and sharing progress on telegram page for all to attest to ensure high levels of trust and accountability.
We validate the project to be feasible as it is in line with Cardano Project Catalyst objective of increasing awareness for the adoption of the block chain and the Ada.

[VALUE FOR MONEY] How does the cost of the project represent value for money for the Cardano ecosystem?
- The project offers great value for the Cardano ecosystem.
- The budget which is 38,550 Ada reflects economic conditions and cost of living in Ghana.
- The project in itself brings value by enhancing blockchain education, promoting Ada adoption, and empowering teachers. Incentives like Ada rewards would drive active participation and adoption. Again, implementing this concept would strengthen the educational ecosystem in Accra, fostering advocacy for Project Catalyst and Cardano among teachers and broader community adoption of Cardano and Ada.
