Hello all! Cardano is a seemingly misunderstood community; we need to create content to shed light on its actual impact and developments in a way that’s relatable & highly “sharable”.
This is the total amount allocated to Yaad Labs + AdaLink/Frenchies Club + Cardano Curation: Cardano the Animated Movie. 1 out of 4 milestones are completed.

We will make a 16 minute long animated short movie about Cardano, highlighting its developmental milestones & the impact they had on the lives of its community members through a roadmap based parody.
No dependencies.
The content produced will be made public through Yaad Labs or one of its affiliate's channels. It will be free to watch and the audience can share and/or use the media for non commercial purposes however they see fit.
Our proposed solution is an animated short movie that highlights Cardano's development milestones and showcases the impact of each era (Byron, Shelly, Goguen, Basho & Voltaire) on the actual community.
With the help of AdaLink/Frenchies Club and Cardano Curation, we will be using & showcasing real stories from real people; and this is in part what will make this movie special, as it will serve as a timely reminder to all those watching, why this movement matters.
The technology is understandably seen by many as nascent - I believe even those "building" are perhaps so focused on the big picture that they miss the realities of present day impact. This story through its comedic take of Cardano's road map, will bring into focus the meaningful work that's taken place over these last seven years.
In closing, the animated short will be important because it will be in many cases a community initiative that says "thank you" to those building - it will foster a sense of belonging, it will clarify the journey for outsiders and importantly, it will give the audience a well needed laugh!
The animated shorts impact will be measured by reach, sentiment and engagement.
Broadly speaking our solution will:
We will measure the impact of the movie by tracking:
A part from the usual channels that Project Catalyst provides like the open milestone modules, public closeout report and impact surveys - outputs can be observed in our community channels on twitter and discord.
Our team has been animating for over a decade and our founders are revered as pioneers in the Caribbean Animation industry. We have also demonstrated that we're capable, as we've been animating for Cardano and largely for free since we joined the community. Some of our work can be viewed here:

The traction we've gotten so far demonstrates that the idea is feasible - and from the feedback we've gotten, we believe long form content with more "meat on its bones" is what we need to "crack the code"!
It would be keen to note too that a part from the first tranche, catalyst doesn't release funds unless specific milestones are met, which should help to further alleviate concerns over any mismanagement of ADA.

NB
The rate used is one 1 ADA = $0.45 (USD).
The project represents value for money as there are no writer fees, no producer fees and no director fees which is about $12-$14,000 USD in savings. Beyond that, all the rates are done just at or below market rates for Caribbean creatives with a lot of savings (roughly 200%) on the animator expenses.
The community will also benefit from bonus creative - as many as 19-55 pieces of supporting content.
