[GENERAL] Name and surname of main applicant
Oluwole Olakanmi
[GENERAL] Are you delivering this project as an individual or as an entity (whether formally incorporated or not)
Entity (Not Incorporated)
[GENERAL] Please specify how many months you expect your project to last (from 2-12 months)
6
[GENERAL] Please indicate if your proposal has been auto-translated into English from another language
No
[GENERAL] Summarize your solution to the problem (200-character limit including spaces)
ADA Abuse will be a website for reporting and accessing scam information, promoting transparency and safety in the Cardano community.
[GENERAL] Does your project have any dependencies on other organizations, technical or otherwise?
Yes
[GENERAL] If YES, please describe what the dependency is and why you believe it is essential for your projectâs delivery. If NO, please write âNo dependencies.â
- Integrations into Cardano Explorers such as
- cardanoexplorer.com
- adapools.org/adascan
- pooltool.io
- Server hosting on cloud infrastructure provider
[GENERAL] Will your projectâs output/s be fully open source?
No
[GENERAL] Please provide here more information on the open source status of your project outputs
- Keeping ADA Abuse closed-source will help protect sensitive information related to the platform's architecture, algorithms, and implementation details.
- Making ADA Abuse open-source could lead to cloning of the platform, and creating duplicate or modified versions that may not follow the intended purposes of ADA abuse. These clones could potentially be used for malicious activities or undermine the credibility of ADA Abuse.
- Other similar platforms are also not open-source allowing for third parties to make payments for API and these payments will enable the platform to be maintained on its own without relying much on the community for maintenance funds
[METADATA] SDG rating

- SDG 17 - Partnerships for the Goals
[SOLUTION] Please describe your proposed solution
ADA Abuse will be a website that allows users to report Ada and other cryptocurrency addresses associated with scams, fraud, or other abusive behaviour on the Cardano blockchain. It will be a platform for individuals to share information about suspicious activity and warn others in the Cardano community.
Users can submit reports detailing the nature of the abuse, such as phishing attempts, fraudulent schemes, ransomware, sextortion, terrorism financing, etc along with the $ada addresses involved. These reports are then publicly available on the website, allowing others to search for and verify whether a particular address has been reported for abusive behaviour. ADA Abuse will be a resource for individuals to research and avoid potential malicious Ada transactions and addresses. It will be part of the broader effort within the Cardano community to promote transparency and accountability while combating illicit activities.
[IMPACT] Please define the positive impact your project will have on the wider Cardano community
Measuring the impact of ADA abuse on the Cardano community can be achieved through metrics such as
- Tracking the number of users visiting the Ada Abuse website, submitting reports, and accessing information about reported abusive behaviour. Analyzing trends over time to identify patterns and provide insights.
- Monitoring the volume and nature of reported cases of abusive behaviour on the Cardano blockchain. Analyze the types of scams, fraud schemes, or other abusive activities being reported, and assess the platform's ability to detect and address them.
- Gathering feedback from users about their experience with ADA abuse. Conducting surveys, interviews, or feedback forms to understand user perceptions, satisfaction levels, and suggestions for improving ADA Abuse and then make use of the feedback to improve the platform.
Below are also some ways we can share outputs and opportunities from the ADA Abuse Project
- Share periodic reports and insights derived from the data collected and analyzed through Ada Abuse.
- Engage with the Cardano community through various channels such as social media, forums, and community events about ADA Abuse, get feedback, and encourage community participation in reporting and combating suspicious activities, transactions and addresses.
- Develop educational materials, such as blog posts, tutorials, podcasts webinars, or workshops, to raise awareness about common scams, fraud schemes, and best practices for staying safe in the cryptocurrency space. This will empower users with the knowledge and tools they need to protect themselves from abusive behaviours.
[CAPABILITY & FEASIBILITY] What is your capability to deliver your project with high levels of trust and accountability? How do you intend to validate if your approach is feasible?
