Cardano needs to offer more mainstream utility outside of financial services; there is a necessity to introduce new platforms to bridge the gap between institutions and insulated blockchain networks.
This is the total amount allocated to ".lockdoc" - Global Documentation Verification and Services.
We will create a Dapp aimed at aiding institutions in digitizing and verifying ID across multiple spaces and demographics. Our initial priority is government, education and medical documentation.
For the proof of concept portion of the project, there are no dependencies. Once we approach testing the prototype for aid with government and institutional identification, we will need to foster strong cooperative relationships with Universities, Governments and Medical institutions in order to showcase the services utility.
Our project will not be open source as the necessity for protecting the individuality of the proprietary data must be of the upmost importance, as we are dealing with sensitive data. Additionally, the growth of the business requires there to be public trust in securely storing information that is of the highest sensitivity.
There will be one aspect of our smart contract verification systems that most likely will be open source
The Problem for Cardano:
The Problem Globally:
The Solution:
We will create .lockdoc, which will be deployed as a Dapp that will appear on app stores as well as on a Web Client. Universal access is a major priority, as many of the individuals we are trying to help have extremely limited internet access.
The purpose of this app will be (with institutional support) to act as a way of recovering, protecting, and acting as a potential substitute for physical ID.
Our impact will be proven in many ways, but the primary goal is to establish a Cardano-based Dapp as a central tool for major institutions to use for daily tasks, with an acute emphasis on digitizing Identification. With more support from world governments, Cardano could become a major asset to multiple organizations and governing bodies.
The diagram depicts both ends of the app model, with registration and verification data included.
VERIFICATION:
The data being verified will include:
more will be included at a later date
Steps of Verification:
With both of these metrics considered, the success of the business directly contributes to the positive image of Cardano as a premier blockchain servicer as well as directly increasing users on the Cardano network.
Capability:
William Shelton is a Fund 8 recipient and winner. He has completed all of the project requirements and has showcased integrity in delivering a high-quality end result too improve the image of Cardano and its funded projects.
William will be capable of heading this project because he has demonstrated a high-level of trustworthiness in his diligent reporting of the progress of the F8 project he led. His responsibilities included sourcing equipment, labor, transport, food and housing, establishing working relationships with governing bodies and humanitarian organizations as well as executing the operations of the project on schedule and on budget.
The proof of these histories can be found in Fund 8 Project ID: 800159

Feasibility:
William has established strong cooperative relationships with a multitude of experts, including those within Universities, Governing Bodies, Humanitarian organizations, as well as Legal and Business professionals well versed in the blockchain space.
These relationships and networks are essential to why this project with proper funding will have the legs to proceed into further development and operations long term, as all of the parties mentioned are enthusiastic about the potential of the concept.
In short, William Shelton has demonstrated excellent reliability in past projects as well as laying the foundations for making the project viable in the long term into operations.
Month 1:
A: Establish base APK for individual user interface as basic framework. (v.01 prototype) base test.
B: Demonstrable use that showcases utility beyond ideation. Downloadable application displaying rudimentary functions. Base Roadmap for development.
C: Video displaying application functions and progress, as well as developer testimony.
Month 2:
A: Complete base functions for individual-user app, simplify design and begin work on UI/UX. Begin framework for smart contract development.
B: Updated app with noticeable improvements in speed, functionality and accuracy. Showcase completed steps in roadmap at current stage.
C: Video displaying updated application with improved functionality, explained by dev team and project lead. outline next steps in UI/UX design with some design mockups.
Month 3:
A: Complete prototype User App, clean up UI/UX; begin work on institution-side application. Continue Smart Contract development.
B: Showcase completed interface for user-side application, with all functions able to be demonstrated with accuracy and speed. Establish application as complete save some minor tweaking, and discuss work done on both Smart Contract verification delivery and Institution-side application.
C: Video displaying completed user-side application, discussing next steps and validating completed work done on roadmap. Outlining last steps of project.
Month 4:
A: Finalize Smart Contract showcasing verification framework as valid. Clean up user-side UI/UX as needed. Finalize Institution-side application model for demonstration purposes.
B: Showcase completed smart contract framework as it is integrated between user-side and institution-side apps as a liaison for verification on document data. Showcase function of application as working, with room for improvement and final tweaking before finalization of prototype.
C: Video and explanation/narration discussing the functionality of app service, demonstrate case study and troubleshoot any potential pitfalls in app operations.
Month 5:
A: Finalize all aspects of prototype. Settle on UI/UX for both ends of app service in preparation for final demonstration. Shore up any inefficiencies or inconsistencies in app experience.
B: Demonstrate improvements made upon last months progress by showing accessibility on multiple platforms as well as general utility and viability for next phase of development.
C: Video showcasing total prototype completion barring any necessary improvements before project finalization.
A: Complete prototype, all functions working as intended, application ready for MVP development.
B: A useable, demonstrable prototype with all roadmap objectives completed alongside downloadability on all intended platforms.
C: app files shareable, video testimony of app functionality, verifiable functionality by Cardano Advisors.

The given potential for .lockdoc to provide legitimacy and utility for Cardano in the mainstream market is vast, and with proper support from institutions the value of initial investment is high considering the potential returns on investment long-term.
We have concluded the costs of development and management based on contemporary advice from our advisory professionals, as well as our internal devteam about the realistic costs of high-quality product development.
We feel confident this project will increase Cardano's public reputation and value as it scales, and with the hight likelihood of institutional and governing cooperation, a working relationship will only improve the status of the Cardano community.
