[GENERAL] Summarize your solution to the problem (200-character limit including spaces)
We'll host interactive real-world events where participants earn crypto rewards, demonstrating practical crypto benefits and promoting widespread adoption while we onboard new users to Cardano.
[GENERAL] Does your project have any dependencies on other organizations, technical or otherwise?
No
[GENERAL] If YES, please describe what the dependency is and why you believe it is essential for your project’s delivery. If NO, please write “No dependencies.”
No dependencies.
[GENERAL] Will your project’s output/s be fully open source?
No
[GENERAL] Please provide here more information on the open source status of your project outputs
Our project's core involves curated real-world events, which require proprietary planning and management tools to ensure exclusive, high-quality experiences, thus not suitable for open source.
[SOLUTION] Please describe your proposed solution
The solution leverages location-based, real-world events to blend the excitement of physical gaming with the innovative aspects of cryptocurrency rewards. At the heart of my proposal are fun, engaging activities like scavenger hunts where participants can form teams—ranging from small groups to large collaborations—and compete to earn crypto-based rewards.
To facilitate these events, we will introduce a Game Master License system. Individuals or organizations can acquire these licenses in form of NFTs to host their own events using our provided blueprints. These blueprints serve as detailed guides for setting up various types of games and challenges, ensuring consistency and quality across different locations and events.
Furthermore, community members have the opportunity to contribute by creating and submitting their own event blueprints, for which they can earn rewards if these are utilized by other Game Masters.
The types of events will be diverse to cater to different preferences and group sizes, including free-for-all challenges, small team competitions, and large team collaborations.
As the project grows, we aim to establish a Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) that will eventually take over some of the event coordination responsibilities. This DAO will be governed by the community of participants and stakeholders, ensuring that the project remains aligned with the interests and creativity of its user base.
The goal is to have our company as a regular Event host, the DAO as a regular event host, and all Game Master License owners as regular event hosts.
An example of such an event is a team-based scavenger hunt that requires participants to solve puzzles and complete tasks within a city while they compete with the other teams.
[IMPACT] Please define the positive impact your project will have on the wider Cardano community
Our project will have a substantial positive impact on the Cardano community by providing real-world use cases for blockchain technology and significantly increasing the number of people interacting with Cardano’s ecosystem. Here's how we will achieve and measure this impact:
- Enhanced Real-World Application:
- By integrating Cardano blockchain technology into our real-world play-to-earn events, we will demonstrate practical uses of Cardano, helping participants understand its value in everyday activities. This visibility will encourage broader adoption and integration of Cardano into various market sectors.
- Community Onboarding and Engagement:
- We aim to onboard a large number of individuals into the Cardano community. Each event will serve as an entry point for participants to become active users within the ecosystem, thereby expanding the user base and fostering a more vibrant community.
Measurement of Impact:
- Quantitative Metrics:
- Participant Numbers: We will track the number of participants at each event and monitor the increase in new wallets created and used.
- Qualitative Assessments:
- Community Feedback: Regular surveys and forums will be held to gather qualitative feedback from participants
- Case Studies: Develop detailed case studies of successful events and their impact on onboarding new users
Sharing Outputs and Opportunities:
- Community Reports: We will produce detailed reports that outline the successes and learning points from our events, which will be shared with the Cardano community
- Open Workshops: Following each series of events, we will host workshops and webinars to discuss outcomes, share best practices, and explore future opportunities within the Cardano ecosystem.
This structured approach ensures that the project not only significantly contributes to the growth and diversification of the Cardano community but also provides clear, measurable insights into its impact. The results and learnings will be openly shared, encouraging ongoing dialogue and collaboration within the community.
