Remobile's strategy is to build a system to tokenize second-hand mobiles on Cardano. 

We are creating a self-sustaining model where phone recycling channels bring phone suppliers onto the platform, while phone trading services generate revenue that can be reinvested into the recycling channels. 

Remobile targets the African and Middle Eastern market, which has a significant demand for affordable refurbished phones. Studies indicate that there are 58 million second-hand phone users in Africa and the Middle East, highlighting the potential of this market. 

We can prove our impact by calculating the carbon footprint saved by second-hand phone trades on the platform. 

By tokenizing all these used mobiles on Cardano, we can bring more real-world use cases to the Cardano ecosystem. At the same time, we can increase the awareness, influence, and usage of Cardano in Hong Kong (supplier side), Dubai (supplier side), Africa (buyer side), and the Middle East (buyer side).

By using Cardano as our backbone chain, we could help promote Cardano to people who never use Cardano or even any other chains before. 

The global refurbished and used mobile phones market size was valued at $52 billion in 2021, and is projected to reach $145.9 billion by 2031. With this project, we could help Cardano tap into this market. 

By storing real data on the Cardano chain, we could increase real-world use cases and increase blockchain adoption of Cardano. 

All of these could help with the PR / marketing of Cardano. 

We could measure the impact through the number of users and phones being traded on the platform. 

The number of phones traded through the platform and thus the carbon footprint reduced by the platform will be shown publicly on our platform.

One of the hardest parts of this project is to bring the first batch of suppliers and buyers on board. This is not an issue for our team. One of our team members has over 15 years of experience in the second-hand phone recycling and trading ecosystem. He is well-connected in the space with well-established B2B supply and demand channels in the US, Europe, and China. 

Our team members' information is all transparent and shown to the public. At the same time, we have defined our milestones clearly so that our team can contribute to the Cardano community by following them step by step.

[VALUE FOR MONEY] How does the cost of the project represent value for money for the Cardano ecosystem?

We will develop the project in Hong Kong, with suppliers/vendors from Hong Kong and the United States. The average wage for a 3-5 year experienced developer will be HKD35000.

We will have 1 in-house developer solely responsible for the project. Nam and Amanda will be doing operation management, research, and at the same time project management. Peter will be doing the business development, especially within the phone trading industry because of his industry experience. To save budget, we will hire freelancers from Southeast Asia to tackle the incoming inquiries when the inbound traffic increases. That will cost about HKD7800 per month.

Whole project period will be around 5 months.
