There is a growing interest between the Cardano & Polkadot communities, yet little focused resources + coordination available to facilitate and fund easy integrations
This is the total amount allocated to Cardano X Polkadot - SubCatalyst.
We identify, engage, facilitate and fund Cardano <-> Polkadot integrations by operating as a Cardano X Polkadot subCatalyst
No dependencies
Yes, all deployed tools will be fully open source and accessible via public github repositories.
The good thing, we see a growing interest across the Cardano & Polkadot ecosystems, the not so good thing tho,, there are little initiatives available to effectively focus, facilitate and easily fund integrations of already existing tooling from one ecosystem to the other one. We want to change that by a simple process.
1) We get the proposal funded, which enables us to manage funds
2) We gather ideas, insights and feedback from Cardano & Polkadot builders on integrations they would like to have
3) We categorise and prioritise gathered ideas
4) We translate categories & prioritised ideas into a tool - integration roadmap
5) We pick up tools from the roadmap, and we identify and engage skilled cardano & polkadot builders to develop the tool (in this proposal, we can offer 45K Ada per tool)
6) and thats it.
Ideally, an easy yet effective process which allows us to manage our own small catalyst, with a dedicates focus on Cardano & Polkadot integration a sort of Catalyst subFund.. Surprisingly close to what Polkadot Bounties are doing.. Maybe just a coincidence.. Ye. ;)
Enhanced Interoperability: By facilitating integrations between Cardano and Polkadot, the project promotes interoperability, allowing users and developers to leverage the strengths of both ecosystems
Increased Developer Engagement: Through direct involvement of Cardano and Polkadot builders, the project fosters collaboration and community engagement. Also helps to bring experienced and skilled developers into the Cardano ecosystem.
Tool Availability for Future Projects: The tools created through these integrations will be open source, making them available for future developers and projects. This enhances the overall tooling ecosystem, reducing barriers for developers who want to build on Cardano, thus accelerating growth and innovation
Celebrating an ecosystem handshake: Ideally, we can celebrate a ecosystem handshake across Cardano & Polkadot by proving that we can work effectively across the chains and on small things first.
As a core contributor at uniFires, a collective of Cardano & Polkadot Ambassadors who work together since late 2023, i may be a good fitting candidate to get this proposal done. I am well aware and quite engaged at both ecosystems Cardano as Polkadot and will engage the right people around the uniFires community to make sure the proposals success has everyone and everything needed.
As of accountability, i have been part of Cardano Catalyst proposals since earliest days, and i always delivered on the proposals i have been part of.

Milestone 4
Hey its me Felix 🙂
While there may be multiple collaborators who will engage if the proposal gets funded, i will take full responsibility of the proposal execution.
To myself, i rally people around projects & ideas is sort of my little speciality and i improve on that over time since starting full time Cardano in early 2021. So, i'll be responsible for this whole thing, ha, can clap myself on the shoulder if everything goes well, and everyone knows exactly who to blame when things don't play out XD
The budgets will be mainly allocated to the 4 integrations, each one budgeted with max 45K Ada with a total of 20K Ada for managing everything else.
Integration #1 - 45,000 Ada
Integration #2 - 45,000 Ada
Integration #3 - 45,000 Ada
Integration #4 - 45,000 Ada
Everything else: 20,000 Ada
Targeted Integrations: The budget of 200,000 ADA is dedicated to four specific integration projects between the Cardano and Polkadot ecosystems. These projects aim to enhance the interoperability and tooling between the two blockchains, fostering collaboration and providing mutual benefits to both ecosystems.
Community Engagement: The project actively involves the Cardano and Polkadot communities by gathering insights, feedback, and suggestions from developers and users. This ensures that the integrations being built align with the actual needs of the community, maximizing the impact of the funds.
Open-Source Development: The project's output will be fully open source, which means that the tools and integrations created will be accessible for the entire community to use, modify, and build upon, promoting further innovation and reducing development costs for future projects.
