This proposal aims to solve the lack of seamless multi-chain wallet integration for Web2/Web3 e-commerce platforms, which limits users' ability to buy Cardano assets using multiple blockchain tokens.
This is the total amount allocated to Multi-Chain Wallet Widget for Web2/Web3 E-Commerce Website Integration.
We will create a multi-chain wallet widget for Web2/Web3 e-commerce, enabling crypto transactions across blockchains and bringing value to Cardano through increased adoption from other ecosystems.
We will work with experienced blockchain developers to build the platform and leverage existing blockchain infrastructure for secure transactions and governance. Additionally, we’ll consult with security experts to ensure a safe environment.
The project will be open source under a GPL license. However, custom contributor license agreements will be negotiated when private projects contribute.
Perception of the Problem:
Web2 and Web3 e-commerce platforms struggle to integrate multi-chain crypto payments, limiting Cardano’s ability to attract users and value from other blockchain ecosystems into the Cardano network.
Reasons for the Chosen Approach:
We will develop a multi-chain wallet widget that integrates with Web2 and Web3 e-commerce platforms, enabling seamless transactions across multiple blockchains, with an emphasis on Cardano. This will allow users from other chains, such as Ethereum or Bitcoin, to transact through the widget, bringing value into the Cardano ecosystem. By prioritizing Cardano, the solution will increase ADA’s visibility and utility in the broader blockchain space, attracting users, merchants, and developers to Cardano.
The open-source nature of this project will ensure ongoing development and community engagement, allowing Cardano to lead in cross-chain functionality while benefiting from collaboration across the blockchain industry.
Who Will the Project Engage?:
Demonstrating Impact:
This project will bring new users, transactions, and developers from other blockchain ecosystems into Cardano. By enabling multi-chain payments, Cardano will become an attractive platform for merchants and developers, enhancing ADA adoption and utility. The wallet widget’s ability to facilitate transactions across blockchains will drive new value streams to the Cardano ecosystem, strengthening its position as a leading blockchain for commerce.
I have the necessary expertise in blockchain development, decentralized governance, and community engagement, ensuring that we can deliver this project with high levels of trust and accountability. I am committed to maintaining transparency throughout the project, from the open-source development process to delivery of product.
The marketplace will be licensed under the GPL, ensuring that all code is openly available for the community to review, audit, and contribute to, which reinforces transparency and builds trust. We will provide regular updates, community feedback loops, and clear reporting on treasury contributions and project milestones.
To validate our approach, we will begin with a Proof of Concept (PoC), developing a basic version of the Widget and testing it. This will allow us to identify any technical or operational challenges early on and refine the solution based on real-world feedback.
Additionally, we will engage with key stakeholders within the Cardano ecosystem, including developers, potential users, and governance participants, to gather input and ensure the Widget aligns with community needs. Success will be validated by the active participation of users and developers ensuring that the project is both feasible and sustainable.
Milestone 1: Community and Developer Engagement
Milestone 2: Securing Developers for the Project
Milestone 3: Concept Design & Initial Planning
Final Milestone: Technical Architecture Planning, Reporting, and Video Presentation
At the moment, I am the sole member of the project team. My role encompasses all aspects of the project, including conceptualization, planning, and outreach. I handle the design and technical planning stages, community engagement, and developer outreach, as well as overseeing the overall strategy and execution. As the project grows, I plan to bring on additional developers and other key contributors to build the prototype and further develop the widget.
Milestone 1: Community Engagement & Outreach (37,500 ADA)
Milestone 2: Securing Developers for the Project (37,500 ADA)
Milestone 3: Concept Design & Initial Planning (37,500 ADA)
Final Milestone: Technical Architecture Planning, Reporting, and Video Presentation (37,500 ADA)
This project brings excellent value by integrating Cardano with multiple blockchains, driving more transactions and increasing ADA adoption. By drawing users from other chains, the project expands Cardano’s utility in e-commerce.
