Governance
[SOLUTION] Please describe your proposed solution
Problem: We currently lack a Cardano governance explorer that provides visual charts to track voting, community participation, and other relevant metrics such as voting results, number of proposals over time, treasury changes, ADA disbursed, technical parameter changes, etc. These metrics often require users to perform a lot of manual and complex operations, making tracking Cardano governance inaccessible to non-technical users.
Solution: We will create an intuitive and easy-to-use Cardano governance explorer for users to track proposals, voting processes, and outcomes, thereby helping the Cardano community participate in governance more effectively. Additionally, by using charts and graphs that collect relevant metrics, we will make it easier for users to understand trends and the impact of governance decisions.
Features: This explorer provides the following:
- Dashboard: Provides the most comprehensive overview of Cardano's governance activities with relevant indicators statistically displayed in multiple charts such as the number of ADA in the treasury, the number of ADA disbursed, the number of Dreps, CC, SPO members, the number of ADA participating in voting, the change of each technical parameter, the number of governance action proposals ...
- Activity: Displays information on administrative action proposals with timelines and voting results categorized for easy filtering and searching
- Voting: Provides the entire voting history of Dreps, SPO, CC members for you to easily filter and search the voting history of members who vote on your behalf.
- Dreps: Provides information about Drep, voting activities, delegation
- More: Provides many other important data.
Data Flow Diagram (DFD):
Cardano Governance Explorer will appeal to a diverse community, including:
- Cardano Users: People who own ADA and are interested in participating in the network’s decision-making process. They will be looking for a tool to better understand proposals, delegates, voting processes, and assess the impact of decisions.
- Community: People interested in blockchain technology and want to learn about a transparent and decentralized ecosystem. The explorer will be a window for them to explore how Cardano works.
This unique solution provides:
- Intuitive interface: Complex information about proposals and votes will be presented in an intuitive, easy-to-understand way through charts, graphs and statistical tables. This helps users easily grasp information and make decisions.
- Increased trust: The explorer helps increase trust in the Cardano system thanks to transparency and openness.
[IMPACT] Please define the positive impact your project will have on the wider Cardano community
Value for the Cardano community:
- Transparent and trustworthy information: All information about proposals, voting processes, and results are public and transparent, making it easy for users to track and verify.
- Increased community participation: Searching for information, tracking, and analyzing activities becomes simpler, encouraging more people to participate.
- Improved decision quality: Users have full information to make informed decisions, based on accurate data, and the decision-making process is shortened and more effective thanks to the support of technology.
The impact of the proposal will be measured using metrics such as:
- User count: Track the growth of the platform's user base.
- Engagement frequency: Measure the number of visits, average time on the platform, number of posts, comments.
- Surveys: Conduct surveys to collect feedback from users on the interface, features, and usefulness of the platform.
Sharing Results:
- Proposals: All results of the proposal implementation will be submitted to Project Catalyst's Milestone Module.
- Products: We will introduce them to the Cardano community groups, Intersect
- Open Access Tools: The platform will be accessible to all users in the Cardano community.
