Authentication for DeepFake Defense

Summary

Deepfake videos are a type of AI generated video that creates a fake video of a person that is convincingly real. This is very harmful, for example on possible attack vector is during national elections - impersonating public figures.

This project will create a video platform that is secure from Deepfake cyber attacks using a Cardano authentication system involving blockchain IDs running on the Cardano blockchain.

Project description

Using the latest techniques, this project will create a cryptographic proof of who is who and therefore which videos are real by connecting their blockchain ID to their real world identity and therefore the videos published from their account. In other words It will allow a video content uploader to connect their Cardano Blockchain based identity together with the video - through their account, so that they can prove they gave permission for that video to be published.

This will allow people who are concerned about their image being utilized illegally in this manner can make use of this ID system and eventually be able to publish video of themselves provably from an account that is provably theirs.

We plan on creating a live demo by Q2 2021 if we receive the funds and will showcase this to local UK government officials (the local MP).

A early product is expected in late Q3 2021 with a beta version in Q4 2021.
