arguably the incumbent within this space is onlyfans (onlyfans.com). onlyfans currently has the brand advantage as performers have migrated to it (in part because they do not restrict adult material) during the pandemic in an attempt to earn some money while still in keeping within the public health constraints.
what onlyfans doesn't consider are the privacy and economic implications, as well as a healthy relationship between performer and patron.
play-x will utilise crypto native functionality like decentralised identity (DiDs) and tokens in creating a browser based dapp - aspiring for a superior interface and experience. starting with basic text chat that'd then evolve to include photos and videos with the performers faces and voices obfuscated or morphed with the help of currently existing and fast advancing A.i technology.
