Why is the Secured Ticketing System so important?

Paper or conventional electronic tickets are now futile and illiquid. It is hard for a ticket owner to resell or transfer on the second market. There is no safe marketplace and it's not safe because tickets can be counterfeit. How do you know in black market in front of the stadium if a ticket is a good one or fake one? Even if it's a good one, it's extremely expensive to reach sellers and buyers. You can't always meet that person so people have to transfer the ticket through third-party.

Smart tickets on blockchain are the new and better way of experiencing events. It facilitates the smoothest access to any event, seamless and secure. All guests have to do is just showing their smartphone at the entrance. People can easily transfer their smart ticket or resell it, see its history, store their emotions and memories in their pocket, or share them in an instant. 100% digital, from their phone secured on Cardano blockchain.

For event organizers tickets on blockchain is a game changer. At the moment most of the ticketing systems rely on centralized infrastructures. These platforms are illiquid and often subject to fraud and forgery. Tickets on Cardano blockchain will be reliable, transferable and eliminate forgery. It allows a liquid marketplace where you can transfer ownership on the ledger without trusting any third party.

Product

The idea is to build an all-in-one ticketing service on top of Cardano blockchain. This service would allow event organizers and ticket brokers to create, sell and secure their tickets on our favorite blockchain platform. It will be super simple to integrate tickets with this platform.

Part 1 - Service backend and API creation. In simple terms, all the set of functions that will handle low level ticket creation and management.

Part 2 - Prototype dApp for event organizers and final users. Mainly covering ticket creation, transfer and verification.

Users are able to choose if they want to use the dApp or just use API and create their own project.

Roadmap

1. Writing the concept and user stories.
2. Checking feasibility: deciding which part of the project is off-chain and on-chain. Research how to reach usable speeds for verification tickets during real live events.
3. Writing API specifications.
4. Making UX/UI high level.
5. Creating an interactive prototype.
6. Working on the branding.
7. Proposing technical architecture for development.
8. Implementing design and making it a reality.
9. Implementing backend and smart contracts.
10. Releasing usable prototypes every 4 weeks.
