To scale up a community of low-cost, energy-efficient stake pool operations that will help promote Cardano and our community!
Provide education and resources for Raspberry Pi stake pool operators hosted on our ADA.Pi portal to increase decentralization.
This is the total amount allocated to ARMing Cardano.
Social Media
Currently, platforms like Telegram, Discord, and the official Cardano forum are the main places Raspberry Pi stake pool operators share information, troubleshoot, and work together to keep their nodes running. We'd like to gather these build instructions, review them with the community and decide on the most popular ARM builds with the most community support to start creating our documentation hub.
Website Goal
We'd like to build a community portal to host various links to suggested hardware, software packages, Github repositories, Stack Overflow answers, YouTube video tutorials on networking, IT infrastructure, security, power management, solar power, and many more other ideas. Our goal is to help the Raspberry Pi community of stake pool operators around the world grow and flourish. We feel by leveraging the low power and cost requirements of the Raspberry Pi along with a massive community of developers, we can influence a much larger demographic of people worldwide who would be willing to introduce Cardano nodes in remote areas of the world further enhancing the goal of Cardano decentralization.
Educational Goal
The Raspberry Pi community is about teaching people the power of technology and open-source software by providing small, resource-efficient, affordable hardware to help them develop their skills. With such a low barrier to entry, we can empower people with little to no technology background up to understanding and running a mainnet stake pool on a very tight budget.
We will dedicate time and money to continually test all things RPi and Cardano to find bugs, fixes, and develop things like source builds along with good documentation to make it easier for people to find and download to get started. Cardano node requirements will be evolving so we'll need to stay up to date with all new hardware advancements and other complexities that may arise to keep the site current.
Partnerships
Finally, we'll partner other Cardano community stake pool operators, Catalyst projects, content creators and developers.
Long Term Sustainability
The long-term sustainability strategy is to register as an educational 501c non-profit organization. This would enable us to accept and apply for educational grants here in the U.S.A. Our non-profit status and contributions to the Cardano community would also enable us to accept donations from others. Lastly, we'd like to take some of the pool rewards from our own staking network and use these funds to help pay for upkeep.

GitBook.io - $480 Team Plan
Bluehost - $132 (annual)
Google DNS - $240 (annual)
Wordpress - $96 (annual)
Fullstack Dev - $35*15 - $525wk = $4725 for 9wks
Will be paid when needed. This is a rough estimate of the costs it would take to get the website functional.
Total: $5,743
Software and Hardware Tutorials - $5500
Video Editor for tutorials - $1200
Hardware for tutorials - $1500
Success:
Partnership with other community members and SPO will help with sustainability like the West African Decentralized Alliance and Raspberry Pi community.
We will provide YouTube original tutorials and free open-source code.
Give access to the community to submit requests to work with us to make it as easy as possible to get more input from the community.
We will measure our traffic, do data analytics on website traffic, YouTube analytics tools, GitBook analytics, GitHub pull requests, commits, issues, contributors, social media feeds, and pool analytics with pooltool.io/adapools.org.
We plan to create custom scripts and metrics to show on our ada-pi.io website where we can also highlight partners and pools.
We plan to start an alliance of Raspberry Pi/SBC/low energy, bare metal stake pool operators.
Feel free to email us with any specific details.
