It takes too long+too many resources to understand when&how to contribute and engage in Catalyst.
Having a personal connection with someone can make all the difference + cut onboarding time meaningfully.
This is the total amount allocated to Catalyst Buddies System.
Have 2 google forms - one for newcomers and the other for experienced members who want to help onboard others.
The connection will be made manually, to begin with.
When connecting the 2 buddies, they will choose the relevant form of communication, whether it be a weekly 20-minute phone call or offline communication, for example.
The experienced member can help guide the new member and answer their questions, along with creating a meaningful personal connection that will leave its mark for a long time.
Success after 3 months - at least 100 buddies have been connected and we can see a 20% difference between new members who have been attached a buddy to those who did not.
Success after 6 months - at least 200 buddies have been connected and we can see a 30% difference between new members who have been attached a buddy to those who did not.
Success after 12 months - at least 500 buddies have been connected and we can see a 40% difference between new members who have been attached a buddy to those who did not.
Ideally, I'm thinking the experienced members should receive a symbolic incentive - but am not sure yet this is the right approach. If so, every buddy should receive 10USD (100*10=1000 USD). Some more will go to the program manager organizing the buddies system to educate, match and improve the program.
Public launch can happen within a month.
I've created such a system in a start-up and it's been going great.
