Catalyst Snippets via Social Media

Guiding Questions:

- Q: How can we increase meaningful participation in voting, voter-proposer interactions, and onboard/integrate new people into Project Catalyst?

- A: By giving both current stakeholders and new voters brief and meaningful moments of the importance of voting via social media. Capture the "why" and "what" of various proposals as it relates to the ecosystem overall in a relatable and widely-consumed format which strips away the sometimes daunting or confusing interaction with Project Catalyst itself.

- Q: How can we use events and workshops to build teams, increase collaboration, and help keep the community together?

- A: Events do not need to be elaborate in-person ventures. I believe curated social media content distributed in the right way can be hugely impactful and "eventful" in uniting community and igniting creative conversation. Virtual events, (cross-platform, cross-cultural, and multi-lingual) can and should be an integral part of this community event strategy.

Cost and Funding Breakdown:

Requested funds are based on a cost estimate of the total business, technology, and design expenses for this venture, as well as active work-hours for person(s) maintaining and growing the business.

Business expenses include legal consultation fees related to establishment of an LLC or similar construct to house the project. Will purchase brand domain and establish Instagram/Twitter/Facebook/TikTok/reddit/etc. accounts.

Technology expenses include purchase of hardware and software necessary for the production of high-quality content. e.g.: Adobe creative Suite, specifically InDesign, Spark, Illustrator.

Design expenses include working with a hired professional to help develop the existing concepts into a full brand-identity. As a company who's existence and service-value is exclusively cultivated through social media, this will be extremely important.

The remainder of the requested amount is earmarked as compensation for man/woman-hours worked curating and running this outreach platform.

Preliminary Strategy

Will start by using previous voting rounds and proposals to establish mocks-ups of brand identity, and test the proper format and volume of information with a hired designer and community members. During future active voting rounds, regular posts across all social media platforms will encourage voter participation and community engagement. Tools like simple Instagram polls will be used to prompt the community to respond on even simple questions like "What web store would you like to see Cardano/ADA available as a payment option?" (Reference to current Fund 7 challenge "Pay with ADA Plug-in)...The goal is simple and engaging posts as a "gateway drug" of sorts into deeper and more involved discussion. Each post string ending with curated links to Catalyst on-boarding links, FAQ, etc. Effort will be made to highlight each challenge category, as well as note various proposals in an unbiased manner.

Note about Project Name and Identity

Please note the intended company name and brand identity have been intentionally left out of this proposal, to prevent scalping of social media account names or corresponding ".com" domain address. Domain name scalping is something I have previously had issues with in other ventures, and hope to avoid if this proposal is successfully funded.
