Challenge Teams and Proposer need a place to connect and to align ideas and actions in a early stage of a Catalyst Funding round
The Challenge Fest offers Challenge Teams and proposers a place to build relations and connections to increase Proposal Qualities and Impact
This is the total amount allocated to Challenge Fest by Catalyst Swarm.
Challenge Fest - Connecting Challenge Teams and Proposer
With Fund 7, a new official role is added to the Catalyst Ecosystem… the Challenge Teams.
The Challenge team consists of community members who take the initiative and responsibility to track and documentate the overall happenings in a specific Challenge and report their insights back to the Community. The Challenge Teams also act as Mentoring bodies, as Challenge Stewards as support for proposers and as pre-assessing community advisors. We want to support the emergence of the Challenge Teams by providing a own Space for them to connect with the Community.
We see in the beginning of Fund 7 that many Challenge Teams provide direct Guidance and Mentorship to proposers.
To have an early and direct connection between Challenge Teams and proposers allows the proposers to increase the quality of their proposals we launched a very first Challenge Fest Pilote on November 20.
15 Challenge Teams participated in the Event, hosting their Challenge Rooms and went in direct contact with proposers.
This very first Pilot showed us the value and need for a recurring Challenge Fest, once per funding Round.
Challenge Fest - Fund 8
Ever spoke to a Catalyst Challenge? Now we can :)
As soon as the Challenge Teams for Fund 8 are announced, we will invite all Challenge Teams to participate in the Challenge Fest.
Each Challenge Team has their own breakout room where proposers are invited to directly build connections to the Challenge Teams.
By launching the Challenge Fest at the beginning of each Funding round, we offer a community event which helps proposers to receive a very early feedback on their raw ideas and projects already before the submission phase officially starts.
With that we want to increase the quality of submitted proposals.
We will also invite all Challenge Teams to give a short 3 Minute introduction about their Challenges, The recorded presentations will be edited as a Challenge & Challenge Team Catalogue.
By scheduling the Challenge Fest at each start of a Funding Round and the Idea Fest at the end of each Funding round we start to build an Community Event structure which follows the proposers through their journey on Project Catalyst. The weekly Town Halls, After Town Halls, Swarm Sessions and Eastern Town Halls offer lively spaces to stay in contact and always up to date..
