GameFi/Metaverse Developer Treasury

GameFi & metaverse building is taking the industry by storm. We need to have a funding vehicle to attract projects to build on Cardano.

A decentralized treasury will give projects incentives to build GameFi on Cardano and allow the community to decide what interests them.

• Amount of new users attracted to the Cardano metaverse from outside ecosystems
• Amount of new GameFi projects launched on Cardano via the Lovelace portal
• Variety of projects attracted by the incentive
• Amount of new content creators attracted to the CNFT ecosystem via fund
• Total net income of metaverse & GameFi projects launched on Cardano with the help of the Lovelace GameFi treasury

While the Catalyst fund provides the community the ability to finance initiatives for the entire Cardano ecosystem, the oncoming of the metaverse, GameFi and NFT specific development warrants its own specialized treasury to solely focus on that area. 

With massive competition coming from other blockchain ecosystems, we must create a funding vehicle to incentivize content creators and projects to use Cardano vs Ethereum and other more established ecosystems. 

With the creation of this GameFi/metaverse development specific treasury we will be able to not only attract and incentivize projects to choose our ecosystem, we will also have a say in which projects interest us the most and thereby optimize engagement.

• The GameFi/Metaverse Developer Treasury funding rounds will follow the Catalyst funding round schedule and use the same voting mechanism for project selection.
• Each round will be $100,000 of ADA distributed among projects, selected by rank, attained through voting. 
• We will leverage our team's experience previously launching over 30 projects and strategic partnerships with groups, including Netvrk, MeDIA eYe, Ferrum Network, Seascape, COTI, CHARLi3 and Cornucopia, to implement a rigorous project screening process so that the community is only presented with the best projects to vote on for financial support.  

Team experience

The Lovelace World team previously built and sold one of the earliest/most successful NFT platforms, and has developed a next-gen NFT marketplace and smart contracts as part of the Lovelace World Metaverse as a Service Toolkit. Our prior platform included a launchpad that launched dozens of projects and helped us hone our screening process and project support framework. The infrastructure being created for the Lovelace World launchpad will be leveraged to optimize the management and effect of the treasury.   

Community engagement

Lovelace will utilize it's extensive social media presence and partner network, to attract new projects to the Cardano NFT ecosystem & promote this treasury.

Fund 7 Allocation

• All funds will be redistributed to the community supported projects via voting.
• Lovelace will only act as a custodian, procurer and promoter of this treasury. 
• After the first funding round is completed, the treasury funding will continue to follow future Catalyst funding rounds.
• Once the initial treasury has been completely distributed, a new funding proposal will be submitted to Catalyst

ROADMAP

Q1 2022

• Receive fund allocation and present a detailed schedule to the community, based on new Catalyst schedule for Fund 8, when it is released
• Integrate voting mechanism
• Start promotion of fund thesis to cross-chain communities

Q2 2022

• Start fund distribution after funding round voting is completed
• Offer support to selected projects

The Lovelace LaceUp Launchpad is a destination for new projects and games to launch their high-utility NFTs to pre-sell functionality within their respective platforms.

LaceUp is unique in that it includes a service to consult on the development of a project's NFT issuance strategy and is designed specifically for new NFT sales and releases.

All LaceUp listings are vetted and require an application and due diligence process. Only high-utility NFTs that have functionality within their own metaverse as well as cross-functionality with other metaverse projects will be considered for listing. This assures that only NFTs with strong secondary market potential are launched on our platform, protecting NFT purchasers, while building long-lasting economies for their projects.

LaceUp listings are promoted, marketed, and shared with Lovelace's community of followers, previous sale participants as well as blockchain focused venture capital funds and high-net worth buyers. NFT buyers can participate to collect and/or participate within the issuers' ecosystem and metaverse. We expect a very diverse array of projects from games, collectibles, high-quality artwork with built-in economies to decentralized applications, and infrastructure projects.

The LaceUp launchpad ecosystem consists of two primary participants:

Project and NFT Issuer

Projects work closely with the Lovelace team to conceptualize, create, and issue their NFTs on LaceUp. NFTs sales may be linked to airdropped project tokens, unlock special functionality, enhance gaming, provide gamified yields, and/or provide unique experiences to their holders.

NFT Purchaser

NFT Purchasers buy NFTs listed on LaceUp and hold them within their wallets to gain access to airdropped tokens, unlock special functionality, earn gamified yields and/or receive unique experiences within a projects metaverse.

The LaceUp launchpad serves as a destination for the release of both third-party developed as well as in-house Lovelace projects.
