Introduce to the Brazilian audience, composed of university students (undergrad and grad level), professionals, enthusiasts, and entrepreneurs, to key concepts of the Cardano blockchain technology under the framework of complex network science.

Apresentar ao público brasileiro, composto por estudantes universitários (de graduação e pós-graduação), profissionais, entusiastas e empresários, os principais conceitos da tecnologia de blockchain da Cardano no âmbito da ciência das redes.

The course entitled "Cardano Blockchain on Complex Networks" will be exhibited in Brazilian Portuguese by Dr. Andre Vilela, Physics Ph. D. and researcher, on a 45 h online course over a six months project.

About the Course / Sobre o Curso

For this proposal, I am focusing on developing a solid blockchain-complex networks framework for a Brazilian audience, in Brazilian Portuguese, well suited for this FUND 7 challenge (Grow Latin America, Grow Cardano, where Brazil represents roughly 1/3 of the LA population).

Para esta proposta, estou me concentrando no desenvolvimento de uma estrutura sólida para o curso de redes complexas e blockchain para um público brasileiro, em português do Brasil, adequado para o desafio do FUND 7 (Grow Latin America, Grow Cardano, onde o Brasil representa cerca de 1/3 da população da América Latina).

About me / Sobre o proponente (identifying information about all proposers)

Dr. André L. M. Vilela has investigated the dynamics of interacting agent-based models in statistical mechanics, combining phase transitions, critical phenomena, and finite-size scaling analysis with Sociophysics, Econophysics, and Complex Network Theory. His research focuses on unveiling the underlying mathematical mechanisms that drive the behavior of agents in groups within social networks and financial markets, and how their decisions promote active collective phenomena. He is a Distinguished Visiting Scientist at Boston University, a full Professor at the University of Pernambuco, and Coordinator of the Materials Physics undergraduate program. He is also the director of CLASSICO - Center and Laboratory for Simulation in Complex Systems. His education in Physics includes completing a B.S. degree With High Honors Award, an MSc. degree with Distinction Award, and a Ph.D. degree from the Federal University of Pernambuco.

Dr. André L. M. Vilela investiga a dinâmica dos modelos baseados em agentes interagentes em Mecânica Estatística, combinando transições de fase, fenômenos críticos e análise de escala de tamanho finito com Sociofísica, Econofísica e Teoria de Redes Complexas. Sua pesquisa se concentra em desvendar os mecanismos matemáticos subjacentes que impulsionam o comportamento de agentes em grupos em redes sociais e mercados financeiros, e como suas decisões promovem fenômenos coletivos ativos. Ele é um cientista visitante distinto da Boston University, professor adjunto da Universidade de Pernambuco e coordenador do programa de graduação em Física de Materiais. É também diretor do CLASSICO - Centro e Laboratório de Simulação em Sistemas Complexos e sua educação em Física inclui a conclusão de um Bacharelado em Física com Láurea Universitária, um Mestrado em Física com Prêmio de Distinção e um Ph.D. em Física.
