NFT images can be difficult for the average consumer to access, downloading files from IPFS is not as intuitive for the average consumer.
Create a Chrome Extension that ingest wallet address’ and access linked NFTs for organizing, downloading, and sharing.
This is the total amount allocated to ARTEM: NFT/Token Gallery Extension.
The proposed solution would be a Chrome extension that would build upon the Artem App (funded in Fund 7) allowing access to the users NFT collection and associated metadata. The Extension would allow for the user to query their wallets, without needing to recover the wallet, and access the NFTs and Tokens the wallet holds. A dedicated IPFS server would be built to support downloading NFTs.
This Chrome Extension would allow for convenient access to a users NFTs and Tokens. Integrations would be made with Google Photos, and other third party storage applications to allow users to share their collection with others and create gallery albums to be used on digital picture frame devices. For the users privacy, no data would be collected or stored remotely.
Building trust in the product will be a dominant risk. Blockchain technology is still relatively new, many new users will not fully grasp that the contents of every wallet are viewable and a key feature of the blockchain to promote audibility and transparency. Because of this, we anticipate that trust will need to be established with the user to ensure that they are aware that the extension would not have the ability to sell/transfer any of their assets.
Additionally the general performance of IPFS can pose a risk for wallets that contain a large collection of NFTs/tokens. A dedicated IPFS server should help with stable and performance responses.
Roadmap
One Month:
Three months:
Three to Six months:
Six months on:
One year:
Engineering: $6,000
Server: $2,000
Marketing campaigns: $4,000
Travis will serve as the primary for the project. As a Technical Product Manager by day, Travis will provide general product vision as well as lend his experience as a software engineer. Travis who operates Fyto Pool and is the developer behind the Artem app funded in fund 7, will build on the previous project to develop the application as an extension.
Jia will serve as the marketing lead and will be responsible for operating the ad campaigns and generating installs for the solution.
Ismael will act as the Project Manager. He will be responsible for meeting milestones and breaking down and tracking the engineering effort.
Development progress will be tracked by the ability to meet the milestones outlined in the roadmap. Financially the project's ability to stay within budget will be an indicator of planned progress, deviation would indicate known risks being realized. Our planned marketing efforts will be tracked using ROI and download KPIs to ensure that our campaigns are meeting goals as well as our product has been developed and designed to meet the use cases identified.
Success would be achieved through the release of the extension on the Chrome store and milestones achieved. Additionally expanding the scope to include delivery as a Safari Extension. Reaching 5,000 total installs would serve as the primary KPI at the one year mark.
This proposal is a continuation of a previously funded project in Fund 7: https://cardano.ideascale.com/c/idea/383213
