Writing simple smart contracts to decide which chain to dev on, one needs hours on Cardano, but just mins on other chains. Put off dApp devs
Through a 15min guide, devs could have a taste of writing a simple smart contract using our API keys, without having to run their own nodes.
This is the total amount allocated to 15 min Hello World Journey.
In 2021, we enter the blockchain world and start developing simple DApps on Ethereum, Solana and Zillia. Although our team is aligned with the vision of Cardano, we did not choose to build on Cardano when we first started. The technical obstacles when entering the Cardano world is big when comparing with other ecosystems.
The world is changing rapidly and dramatically in 2022. Witnessing all desperate and heart-breaking stories, we really want to build something meaningful on the particular chain that we love most. Socially and economically, we absolutely believe that decentralization and security is of paramount importance for our mankind. Nothing is more crucial than our sovereignty and privacy. From a sea of blockchain technologies, we would like to have Cardano as our destination, learn, adapt, and grow together, in the hope of building a planet that our future generations are willing to live on.
Cardano is an amazing network and community. We would like to see more developers joining us. Currently, a lot of developers may have problems by running the nodes and setting up infrastructures by themselves.
To increase the interest from developers, we would like to lower the entry “barrier” as much as possible. We would like to develop tools which enable developers to enjoy fast API integration with the least learning effort. Time could be well allocated between debugging and dapps creation. This could save the cost of maintaining self-hosted nodes, which is the common pain from the developer perspective.
In the current situation, DApp developers are required to have sufficient knowledge of the Cardano ecosystem, such as architecture, algorithms, protocol, programming languages, transaction knowledge, etc. We hope to introduce a seamless and ease of use tool set that facilitates the progress of developing a dapp, including Defi, in Cardano. This includes easy to use APIs and ready nodes for development. Ultimately, the entry barrier for application developers can be greatly reduced and they can kick start and test their codes in the Cardano ecosystem within 1-2 hours of work.
Developers using our platform will be able to:
We adopt the “get a taste first” approach to lower the entry barrier for application developers and encourage them to use Cardano. And hopefully aiming and leading to a great boost for the Cardano developer community growth.

The Challenge KPIs that we can help addressing are:

Integration with different Cardano nodes in the ecosystem:
Our proposed team formation:
For the platform and web2 hosting, we will be using AWS as our cloud service provider.
Considering the balance between cost and efficiency, our founders will be the product lead and project lead at the same time.
We will also seek advice from external product and project experts, but in order to save cost we will adopt this in a voluntary basis.
This is preliminary. We will gradually adjust the number of manpower and manhours to efficiently control the pace and the accuracy of the deliveries. We are also welcome for open source when the foundation of the project is ready.
Budget Breakdown:
Period: 6months
Salary is based on market-rate.
3 * Founder: $2,100/mo * 6 months = $9,000
4 * Web2 Developers: $5,600.00/mo * 6 months = $33,600
3 * Web3 Developers: $5,250.00/mo * 6 months = $31,500
1 * Engineer: $1,000.00/mo * 6 months = $6,000
Cardano Gas-fees Budget: $2,500.00
Cloud Hosting: $3,000.00
Total Budget: $85,600.00
Meanwhile, we are still balancing and optimising the cost. Feel free to give any advice! We are still exploring on cost and seeking volunteers (friends) to join the team.

We suffer this painpoint ourselves. We are dApp devs that were being put off by Cardano dev environment before. We love Cardano’s vision and its focus on Decentralisation and Security. However, the initial experience and learning curve of trying out Cardano really put us off.
