Game development for Cardano based 3D-games and web-apps is currently inconvenient, as both topics are yet entirely separated.
We aim to develop a react component library tool to enable game developer to easily build wallet integrated 3D-environments (open source).
This is the total amount allocated to Three.js for 3D-Webaverse games.
The react component library tool we're planning to build mainly meant for game developers that are interested in developing their own Cardano-based 3D-game but could be useful for any kind of web-app that includes a 3D-environment or 3D-models.
We believe that it will bring Cardano forward as a whole, giving it more functionality and operability, attracting new players and therefore more users. Long-term it could also open up new perspectives towards some Metaverse-like structures.
In case of successful development, the tool will be avaible open source. Since development is linked to the development of our 3D-game, we can demonstrate the advantages and functionality of our tool easily by taking it as a concrete example.
Our main challenge could be a future shift from react to other libraries for web development which could be met by further developing and adjusting it at a later stage.
For output please see above, we plan on delivering a solution in between 2-4 months from the point of funding.
We can not provide a very detailed budget breakdown at the moment, our estimate refers to 1,5 developers working on a suitable solution full-time for the estimated period of 2-4 months.
Web developers and 3D-artist will be working together closely.
We will measure progress in parallel with the development of our own 3D-game.
please see above
It is not.
We are working with 3D-applications (desktop- and web-based) for quite some time now. Currently we're developing a smart-contract based game that includes a responsive 3D-environment and comprehensive Cardano wallet integration.
