For anyone new in Cardano, there's no easily available onboarding reference that is designed for 'dummies'.
To create a digestible, educational, and informative manual to onboard people who are new to Blockchain and Cardano.
This is the total amount allocated to Onboarding Manual for Dummies.
Major Onboarding Problem
Onboarding someone in Cardano is no easy feat. There is quite a steep learning curve as the person should also need to learn the concepts behind blockchain -- to appreciate much more what Cardano can do as compared to other blockchains. This is granted that the person has the interest to learn blockchain in the first place.
Dummies - a beginner on a different level
There are many types of beginners that may be classified in Cardano and blockchain in general. Some may have zero knowledge but have technical background, some may already have ideas on blockchain, and some may have already tried buying a bitcoin or another cryptocurrency.
"Dummies" here refer to those who are clueless what a blockchain is and has limited or no technical background at all. Basically, these are really the regular individuals, whose profession is non-tech related. While they are the typical Web 2.0 apps users, they have no idea how is it different from web 3.0 apps.
Manual for Dummies
The proposed solution would be a short e-book designed for 'dummies' (as described above), that would help an individual learn more about the blockchain and how to onboard in Cardano.
For example, there would be a section on 'wallets", providing step-by-step instructions complete with diagrams and illustrations to make it really easy for someone to understand what a wallet is, how to setup one, what can it be used for, what are ADA compatible wallets, etc.
There would be different sections for varying use cases. A user will just need to follow the illustrative steps, with actual screenshots (if necessary) to help user easily complete the flow.
The challenge wants to build more awareness of Cardano in East Asia. One great way to increase such is have people to actually onboard and try Cardano. However, as mentioned above, onboarding is a major challenge considering the learning curve and the arduous process for non-tech people.
Thus, this proposal specifically wants to address this with an easy guide complete with illustrations and diagrams, using simple and common words (avoiding technical jargons, or explaining these to them in simplest terms).
This solution to this challenge may sound easy and simple. Perhaps, it is merely a manual one may say. However, trying to simplify complex concepts for regular people to understand takes serious time and effort.
As such, the risk is coming up with this onboarding manual that would still turn out to be complicated and hard to grasp. This can be mitigated by the following:
Months 1 - 2
Months 3 - 5
Month 6

What is the team setup?
Pinky will be the team lead of the project. While she is a writer and illustrator herself, she will get one researcher/writer and one illustrator to help her on this project. Below is Pinky's background.
Who is Pinky?
Pinky is a skilled professional marketer, with experience in retail merchandising and brand marketing for multiple fashion retail brands in a wide range of categories. Combined with her natural creativity, having a keen eye for detail helped her develop and champion brand marketing and product development in many respects. Her knowledge in brand strategy, product design, and account management continues to thrive in her. She has worked for men's, women's apparel, youth footwear, fashion accessories, and time wear brands.
Her progressive thinking and professionalism have contributed to her career success managing accounts and developing products for reputable local retail chains (SM and Penshoppe) and foreign fashion brands (Esprit, Police, Giordano, Chronofixe, Blackwell, etc.). This is where she led and contributed immensely in terms of business growth making her a well-versed retail marketer.
Her brown study in a self-published book title called Life In a Boat Shell is a testament to her creative craft and writing skills where she gathers that no amount of work is small if you put value and purpose into what you do. Pinky believes that teaching is the best way to learn, a tenet she lives out through her interest in hiking, paddling sports, meditation, and illustrating.
At present, Pinky works as a freelance brand marketing manager specializing in digital marketing and brand management while she fiddles with digital graphics, NFTs and attempts her second literary project.

The onboarding manual will have the following:
Progress will be measured based on the above metrics as per distribution of activities in a set timeline.
The final copy of the "Cardano Onboarding Manual for Dummies" will primarily be the success indicator of this project.
Hopefully, this will be used and shared by the Cardano community especially those funded in the East Asia Challenge and those that are funded to create community hubs (sicne they can also use it as additional guide and reference for their communities).
