Challenge Fest - Fund 9

As soon as the Challenge Teams for Fund 9 are announced, we will invite all Challenge Teams to participate in the Challenge Fest. Each Challenge Team has their own breakout room where proposers are invited to directly build connections to the Challenge Teams. By launching the Challenge Fest at the beginning of each Funding round, we offer a community event which helps proposers to receive a very early feedback on their raw ideas and projects already before the submission phase officially starts. With that we want to increase the quality of submitted proposals.

Idea Fest - Fund 9

Once each funding round, Idea Fest takes place. This event is scheduled over a whole weekend where proposers come and present their finalized proposals and projects to the community. A place to find collaborators and partners, a place to meet the teams behind projects and proposals and a place to showcase your ideas to the community. In Fund 7, over 130 projects were presented.

The Catalyst Swarm Community Events provide open spaces for newcomers to directly get in touch with Community veterans and projects, to build first relations and to find collaborators for their own ideas and visions. 

Our events are hosted and moderated by highly engaged community members which also empower newcomers to take the initiative and to engage in the broader Catalyst ecosystem, new community members receive trustful guidance and mentorship by participating in the Catalyst Swarm Community Events.

Idea & Challenge Fest are already established community events. Since the beginning we have tried to improve the structure, execution and organization of these events to meet the needs of the community. The main risk is, that the changes for Fund 9 might not meet some needs and expectations of the community. However, we are always open and willing to further develop these events together with the community.
