Open ISPO

[IMPACT]

We are witnessing waves of Initial Stake Pool Offerings (ISPOs) from big players such as: Sundaeswap, Meld, Rray, Maladex, Genius Yields… These projects attracted a large number of delegators. There has been a shift of ADAs from small pools to pools supported by the projects. To a certain extent, this movement threatens the decentralization of the network

These projects often have to build their own Pools. This helps them to be proactive but they also spend a lot of resources (money and labor) to set up and operate. They also have to work hard to decommission these pools after distributing tokens. many delegators in their pools can be affected by this decommission due to not keeping updated information periodically.

In addition to the number of ADAs being concentrated in a few large pools, Small pools lose their delegates. They will have problems with the cost of running and maintaining the pool in the long term.

Inspired by the Fair ISO of minswap project, For each project that needs to distribute tokens, we will call for small pools (under 3M ADAs active stake, at least 1 minted block) from the community to register the program (that is why we call Open ISPO). Based on this list we will check if they are single pool operators. support Stake Pool Operator (SPO) to apply security best practices for pools, backup critical data before joining the Open ISPO campaign. We will provide insight on-chain data to the project owners, give them meaningful information via live dashboards. Open ISPO also provides regular service health checks for pools. At last, we will distribute project tokens to valid delegators.

Our ISPO as a service will have these main features:

• Support and nurture small pools to become sustainable.
• Help projects that need to distribute tokens have more time for their business. We take care of them with the initial stake pool offering.
• Enhance decentralization and security for Cardano Network
• Reduce Environmental footprint

With Open ISPO, token distribution project owners no longer need to invest in servers, human resources and create pools for ISPO as before. We will provide that mechanism for them. We optimize and reuse existing small pools from the community and this process can be repeated for many other airdrop projects. There are more projects using the service of Open ISPO, small pools will grow more sustainably, so it increases the synergies across Cardano projects and give equal opportunities to all pools.

Open ISPO will provide the open standards, processes, and infrastructure for the new smart way of ISPO.

1. How to validate a single Pool operator: SPOs will be required to declare their identities (email, address, telegram id, facebook id...): We will check based on this information and information coming from the community
2. The Open ISPO model works well with projects that do not receive an ADA number in return. For projects that earn ADA from epochs, we will have a solution with a commercial service called "ISPO as a Service-described in another proposal

We do provision Open ISPO service to the projects, Our service foster small pools growth and enable projects to distribute their tokens in smart ways. our "definition of done" are:

In the long term, the distribution token project could use Open ISPO token to redeem the service. Open ISPO tokens could be used as a reward for small pools and their delegators to join the game.
