Most Colleges in Ghana neither teach the ideas of entrepreneurship nor does it provide students with the skills and opportunities they need to effectively gain financial and economic freedom.
To educate, develop and empower tertiary students with the ideas of blockchain technology, cryptocurrency and Catalyst tools and resources so that they can ideate blockchain ideas on Catalyst.
This is the total amount allocated to Catalyst Campus Train.
BACKGROUND:
The Catalyst Campus Train is a series of events to be hosted at four (4) university campuses in Ghana where CARDANO PROJECT CATALYST is ABSENT or NOT ACTIVE, to introduce and promote the ideals of Project Catalyst. These train of events seek to educate the students on the ideas of blockchain technology and develop their skills in blockchain entrepreneurship and empower them with the catalyst funding opportunity for them to create solutions and leverage catalysts to solve problems in their communities.
IMPLEMENTATION STRATEGY
The Catalyst Campus Train will be a one-day event to be hosted at the targeted four (4) university campuses on the topics; Introduction to Cryptocurrency, Blockchain technology, and Cardano Blockchain & Project Catalyst.
INTRODUCTION TO CRYPTOCURRENCY SESSION:
This will be a meetup to introduce students to the cryptocurrency and blockchain revolution since most of them may be newbies or newcomers to the crypto space. This will provide an insight into the fundamentals of digital currencies, the impact of the satoshi community and what potentials and resources are available in the blockchain technology. The session will also educate participants on the evolution of money; from barter to bitcoin. Participants will also learn how to download, install and set up Yoroi wallets; mobile and web wallets, and then be trained on sending and receiving ADA, staking ADA and trading ADA with other tokens and currencies on exchange platforms.
BLOCKCHAIN TECHNOLOGY SESSION
This session will educate participants on the blockchain revolution, and the history of the bitcoin whitepaper by the anonymous Satoshi Nakamoto group. Attendees will get the opportunity to learn other use-cases of blockchain such as smart contracts, metaverse, supply chain, operations, fintech, and web3 among others. Participants will learn about the Cardano blockchain and how they can build innovative solutions on it as well as benefit from the existing solutions on the Cardano blockchain.

This project will provide students; both undergraduate and graduate students the FREE platform to access entrepreneurial tools and resources that will empower them to implement their business ideas conveniently. This will boost graduate employment and minimize the high rate of graduate unemployment in Ghana. We believe that, when these students are introduced to the Catalyst learning resources, networking communities and funding opportunities, it will equip students to venture into social entrepreneurship, Blockchain entrepreneurship, and financial and economic initiatives which will contribute to the scientific and socioeconomic conditions in Ghana.
Generally, the execution risk is minimal. The few risks are the difficulty to obtain permission from University management before hosting events on campuses. Getting this permit is sometimes bureaucratic, which may affect the action plan. However, this will be avoid by working work student leadership and office of the Dean of students which will make the university entry process very easier and accessible to students, campus and even the be faculty will not be a problem once we establish a good rapport with the Dean and the heads of student government. Aside, there is seemingly no further risk that may hinder be the success of this project.

IMPACT AUDIBILITY:
The following tools and methods will be adopted to evaluate the success and progress of the project:
KEY SUCCESS INDICATORS OF PROPOSAL
This is entirely a fresh proposal to this Fund9, Grow Africa, Grow Cardano Challenge.
SDG 4 - Quality Education - Students and schools will have a feel of Blockchain education and impact, and this will improve the outreach of Cardano to ensure more adoption and onboarding from Africa. With quality presentations on the education and training, participants will adequately be equipped with the requisite skills, tools and resources to ideate and confront problems in Catalyst.
SDG 8 - Decent work and economic growth - Proof-Of-Work (PoW) as adopted by Cardano will empower every leader and entrepreneur to participate in the ecosystem making work more freely. This gives space to anyone to propose solutions that would contribute to economic growth. This will contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and hence becomes necessary for the success of the SDGs.
