Cooperatives and NGO's in Africa have for decades suffered from corruption and financial injustice. Only 1% of members receive the majority of the money. There is a lack of transparency and trust.
We are looking to develop a payment dApp for cooperatives & NGO's in Africa, with a transparent payment system where transactions only goes trough when accepted by other members in the cooperative.
This is the total amount allocated to Cooperative dApp.
Our cooperative dApp will help prohibit corruption and make it possible for cooperative members to have a fair payment system, where all members have a saying and are able to agree on financial decision making.
Before transactions go trough they will be frozen until members of the cooperative have agreed and accepted the transaction. The dApp will serve as a tool for this and works as a transparent ledger. This ensures all members have to agree and receives a fair share of the value as upon agreement.
The risk is corruption within the cooperative and we will avoid this using smart contracts and a third party payment system where members get a notice in the dApp that they sign to accept the transaction as agreed on.
1; Get members onboard - one cooperative in Uganda or Ethiopia will be used as pilot project.
2; Develop dApp for their needs
3; Adjust trough trial and error
4; Scale to other Cooperatives and NGO's together with more institutions.

Yes if successful and in need for further grants we are open for the option to apply again.
Progress will be measured in success in solving the problem of corruption and increased financial justice within cooperatives and NGO's. Members of the organisation will be payed a higher salary and be able to increase their livelihoods, increasing resilience amongst the African population.
Success is finding a payment system that is transparent and fair, supporting entrepreneurship and increasing livelihoods.
