There is a need in Uganda to jumpstart, inspire and showcase what developers & entrepreneurs can build on the Cardano blockchain.
Host a one-day hackathon event in Kampala, Uganda to bring together our community members and software developers within the country focusing on building simple Dapps to drive the adoption of Cardano.
This is the total amount allocated to Adafro Labs Uganda - Cardano First principles Hackathon.

Emurgo Academy; To provide technical guidance to the participants of the Hackathon and how best to judge the participants on a more technical standpoint.
Project will be fully open source.
Our proposed solution is a one day Hackathon event. We believe this will act as a great way for our Adafro Labs community members and other software developers to showcase either creations. We believe this will motivate and inspire other attending developers to learn the necessary programming languages & build on Cardano.
We would like this Hackathon to really drive awareness amongst developers and that they can build something on Cardano in short period of time(i.e 3 months)
The Theme for the Hackathon is: First principles - where the developers will not be restricted on what to build but what matters is the demonstration of how one can build something on Cardano with only 3 months of preparation.
This solution addresses the challenge in a number of ways;
----- KPIs / Objectives ------
A list of Teams that have signed up for the Hackathon
Github commits from the various participating teams.
An Evaluation Criteria from the judges.
Social media posts marketing the Hackathon before and a livestream of the event on our Youtube channel.
