[IMPACT] Please describe your proposed solution.
(1)-Cardano Blockchain Certified Associate is a comprehensive training course designed to take you from a beginner to an advanced level of blockchain knowledge.
(2)-Plutus Project-Based Learning (PPBL) gives developers a chance to gain hands on experience with Plutus by working on real projects.
(3)-The Catalyst School, already established, is a place created to enhance the impact of Catalyst as a whole by improving the contribution of all its different players and roles.
Three courses: (1), (2), and (3) are popular among the English-speaking communities. However, for non-native English speakers, there is still a language barriers-> This leads to a shortage of Cardano developers in many projects -> Slowing down Cardano adoption. We will address this problem by accompanying, learning, and practicing with developers in their native language to help and encourage them to complete the course through regular workshops, Our activities are:
- Assign experts to pre-study and summarize the content of each lesson in each course. Create slides and exercises if necessary.
- Coordinate with Gimbalabs to translate the remaining lessons (we completed module 100), add subtitles to the videos (we completed module 200) -> the content is available on Gimbalabs' LMS platform, allowing learners to flexibly learn at any time.
(these are snapshot from Gimbalabs website for Vietnamese)
- Introduce the 3 courses (1) (2) (3) to the community. Share our plan to go with developers
- Open regular workshops to study together with developers (on zoom platform). In each workshop, the content of each lesson will be reviewed, the main points will be summarized, and questions will be exchanged and answered with developers. These actions are recorded as videos, creating an index for members of subsequent courses to refer to.
- Provide technical live-coding sessions.
- Organize workshops to support community members in writing their own projects to submit to Project Catalyst.
- Create dedicated Discord/Telegram channels for developers to continuously support and answer questions.
(All of the above activities are provided in the native language with the purpose of creating a close, friendly and open environment for developers to share their thoughts and questions throughout the course)
Our tentative course outline is structured in this google sheet
The goal of the project is to equip developers who are interested in blockchain and considering working with blockchain in the future with the knowledge and skills to confidently participate in Project Catalyst and develop decentralized applications (dApps).
[IMPACT] How does your proposed solution address the challenge and what benefits will this bring to the Cardano ecosystem?
The flexible combination of the three courses will meet the needs of various developers, specifically.
- If you are a Traditional Developer, completing the 3 courses will help you gain an overview of blockchain in general and Cardano in particular, the techniques to create Dapps on Cardano and turn your ideas into projects to apply for funding on Project Catalyst.
- If you are a Blockchain Developer from other blockchain platforms, you may skip course 1, course 2 and 3 will help you gain knowledge and programming techniques on the Cardano platform, from which you can write ideas and apply for funding.
- If you are a Cardano Blockchain Developer, course 3 will help you turn your ideas into reality and participate more deeply in Project Catalyst with different roles.
1.How does our proposed solution address the challenge
From the perspectives above, we believe the project will:
- Attract developers from outside of our current community to participate in Catalyst.
- Provide easy entry for developer to learn Plutus and other languages. support them to deploy application on Cardano.
2.Benefits to the Cardano ecosystem
With the serious implementation of the project, we are confident that the results will be:
- Increase number of developers actively building on top of Cardano.
- A strong community of developers and proposers with thriving project collaboration
- Increasing number of open source projects
[IMPACT] How do you intend to measure the success of your project?
Our project will monitor the following KPIs:
- The number of students attending Catalyst and Gimbalab PPBL sessions.
- The number of students participating in different roles in Project Catalyst.
- The number of projects initiated by students at the end of the course.
- Feedbacks and testimonials
- MVP/Demo application
- The growth of discussion group on telegram
[IMPACT] Please describe your plans to share the outputs and results of your project?
To share the outputs and results of our project, we have the following plans:
1.Project Reports (PoM and PoA):
We will submit a Statement of Milestones (SoM) which will be published, reviewed and approved by Community Reviewers. In each Milestone, we will public Proof of Achievement (PoA) to provide evidence that the milestone for which we have already been paid has been achieved.
2.Release outputs/results on our website
We will outputs/results on our website at UBA, VOER, C2VN where interested individuals can access our update proactively, discuss or query us any topics they prefer.
3.Share outputs/results to social platforms (Cardano Forum, Facebook, telegram, twitter, youtube and github):
These will be places we share updates, success stories, and best practices. These will allow us to reach a larger audience and gather feedback and suggestions from the community, fostering a collaborative approach to decentralized identity adoption
