GOAL

To attract non-blockchain players, to give equal opportunity to every player who is willing to invest their time and to make play-2-earn (P2E will be available only for limited time) possible for the player who has skill. The characters and assets (animals and war machines) available in the DCCG will be directly linked to the Metaverse (not included in the scope of this project proposal) as well. Our main objectives are given as follows:

• High-quality card game to experience the Empires’ period in history similar to top-tier games.
• Zero-to-Hero game plan to give everyone an equal opportunity to earn* by playing the game (*only for early players).
• Two ways to sign up for the game: Cardano wallet users can use their wallet and non-Blockchain users can enjoy the game with an account using an email. All the assets owned by users who signed up with email or social media accounts will be custodial under the game server and anytime the user can transfer the assets to the wallet
•  Build a sustainable ecosystem to support the developers and players

Drawbacks of the current projects and our plans to resolve them

• Poor Tokenomics and sustainability: Many of the gaming projects being built on blockchain have poor tokenomics. Considering the play-2-earn model, the existing projects offer a common linear vesting schedule which will be drained off in a few years. It can lead the projects becoming bankrupt as the developers will not be remunerated adequately. We develop an Algorithm to sustain the play-2-earn model for the long-term by keeping the game developers within the ecosystem

• Low Quality artworks/Low Ploy Metaverse: As our main goal is to create a realistic historical world to experience the visual treat, it requires large amount of human and computer resources to develop the same. Our plan is to set the time frame for a long period and achieve the goal by small steps at a time. In doing so we are planning to collaborate with independent game developers and game studios to achieve our goal.

•  We are planning to release the financial audit reports of the project annually to ensure accountability which lacks in many other project.

Our team is located in Sri Lanka. We do not see a major adaptability in blockchain games/NFTs as other developed countries do. Our project's initial target is local market which covers above 1M gamers (PC and Mobile). Our initial target is 10,000 in the region with local marketing and attract more players from South Asian region.

[IMPACT] How does your proposed solution address the challenge and what benefits will this bring to the Cardano ecosystem?

• New user base to Cardano

We are trying to bring existing PC&Mobile gamers to Cardano ecosystem by building our game on Cardano. Our first year target is 10,000 users to Cardano. Our game has NFT and its own in-game currency which is minted on Cardano, as user network grows the transaction fee from both NFT and token will be a revenue for Cardano blockchain and it promotes Cardano blockchain in the region with other potential use cases.

• Promoting other use cases of blockchain/Cardano

As our project grows with potential users in the region, it introduces other use cases such as DeFi to wider new community. It would greatly increase decentralization of Cardano blockchain. Cardano's low fee would be great value for the developing country players as they can not afford to spend so much money on fees.

[IMPACT] How do you intend to measure the success of your project?

Main benefit would be introducing new users to Cardano ecosystem. As we have done a research study in gaming industry, many players do not aware of NFT nor blockchain, and not much business development around these area. Introducing NFT and blockchain through gaming platforms would capture gamer's attention and which helps to grow Cardano's user base in this region.

I have completed projects worth over USD 1M in my 5 years professional career. Therefore, We can mange fund effectively and we will release our financial report every quarter.

We are a highly qualified team with B.Sc (Hons), LLB and M.Phil qualifications trying to build on Cardano.

Freelance rate is much cheaper here than developed countries. In general, this kind of projects cost easily 2/3 times more in developed countries. And we have already completed some of the tasks with external fund raising. Such as, web development, project planning and documentations.
