Blockchain is a great technology too often associated with crypto, and too private sector focused, letting NGOs, non-profits and actors of Good aside. Blockchain for good isn’t a big enough topic.
This is the total amount allocated to Token for Good - PBW Side Event : Expose Cardano as a leader in Blockchain for Good.

Organize a Token for Good Summit side event during Paris Blockchain Week, to capture the audience attention during this week, and be a beacon for Blockchain for Good, helping others discover Cardano.
No dependencies.

Token for Good Summit is an event that was created in 2024, hosting its first edition in Geneva in October 2024. With the goal of educating NGOs, Foundations, and in general every actors of Good on Blockchain use cases, we gathered more than 40 speakers into our first edition, from all backgrounds :
Our solution is to replicate this event next to a bigger Blockchain event (here Paris Blockchain Week) to spread awareness on these use cases, and help gather actors of Good in the same place at the same moment. This event would aim to attract 250 to 300 participants (around 150 in Geneva in October), for an afternoon event with conferences on Blockchain use cases for Good.
In one sentence, our solution is an event where all Blockchain for Good actors will be gathered in the same place, positioning Cardano and Catalyst as leaders in this topic (that is a strategic positioning of the ecosystem for a few years now).
It does address the challenge and have an impact on the community by highlighting Cardano’s leader position on Sustainability and “For-Good” topics.
By being principally funded by Project Catalyst, this event will help Cardano and Project Catalyst to have a specific visibility to actors of the Blockchain for Good ecosystem, notably by the Title of the event with Catalyst in it, and a Keynote of 15 minutes at the start of the event to explain a Blockchain for Good-related project that exists on Cardano.
Moreover, gathering around 300 persons to discuss such topics has almost never been done before, and this would create a unique brand image to Project Catalyst and Cardano. This would help to grow Cardano’s community with high-quality builders, thinkers and actors of the Blockchain economy, as well as help its community to connect with others communities to gather strengths and build up a better world.
Our team has been involved in the Blockchain industry since a while, with complementary skills and all having the habit of creating events.

Please kindly note that there are almost 100% chances that the organization of the event started before the funding from Catalyst, as Fund 13 onboarding starts around 3 months before the event. We will probably prepare speakers and topics before, as well as look for sponsors for the event so if the Catalyst community sadly doesn’t decide to be in, we can still try to do the event. For this, I will detail before Milestone 1 a “Milestone 0” explaining what we want to do before onboarding.

Blockchain for Good is a topic that didn’t change in the last few years. A lot is said, but not a lot is done. Cardano is one of the most fast-moving ecosystems on Blockchain for Good and we want to expose this to people that we want to educate on this trend.
By financing this event, Catalyst can help to spread the word on Blockchain for Good, as well as showing how much Cardano is well-positioned on that topic (notably through the Keynote), and all this in the context of a global meeting from Blockchain leaders in Paris Blockchain Week.
