The Cardano ecosystem is dependent on a diversity of stakepool locations, but developing countries lack the support and training required to flourish.

Solution

  1. Develop an education and onboarding platform that provides access to stakepool creation resources.
  2. Offer an education and infrastructure program, supporting the early stages of stakepools in Africa.

Project Team

This proposal will be delivered by the Wada team, in collaboration with the Goma Hub.

Josh Fielding - Project Lead + Global Lead @ Wada

Has a combined 10+ years’ experience in fintech and startups, focused on banking, payments and lending across Europe, APAC and African continents. He brings his years of project management and team leadership experience, running teams for Start Up Bootcamp and as an organizer for a Danish enterprise accelerator.

As an active member of Catalyst since Fund 2, previously-funded SPO proposer and 2-year stakepool operator, Josh has the experience and capability to deliver on the goals of the proposal, alongside the team at Wada.

Mercy A - Coordination Lead @ Wada

Has a combined 25+ years' experience in Project Management and Engagement (West Africa, Canada) Healthcare (UK, Canada) and brings a wealth of experience and passion to this project. Mercy is responsible for Wada coordination, and building partnerships.

Boaz Balume - Goma Hub Lead @ Wada

A graduate in environment and sustainable development, this person assumes the role of team leader at the Goma Wada Hub and serves as a stake pool manager. His deep fascination with blockchain technology motivates his enthusiasm to actively participate in the captivating journey of Cardano. Additionally, he contributed as a co-proposer in F8 and F9, fulfilling the role of project coordinator in F9, and serving as a challenge team member in F10.

Richmond Oppong - Marketing & Design Lead @ Wada

Richmond is a graphic designer with over 10 years of experience in logo designs, print and poster designs, business card designs, 3D signage, and mounting billboards. He holds a Higher National Diploma in Graphic Design from Takoradi Polytechnic, Takoradi-Ghana. Richmond is a blockchain enthusiast and is actively part of the Cardano project catalyst community.

Ezekiel Donkor - Software Developer @ Wada

Has a Bachelor of Science in Animal Biology and Conservation Science from the University of Ghana. Currently works as a software developer at Wada. Loves to challenge himself to work on new emerging technologies and tools, including blockchain and web3. Currently exploring the Cardano blockchain and all the possible applications in order to build tools and products to contribute to the community at large.
