Develop a comprehensive online platform with tools and courses to facilitate a smooth transition from Ethereum to Cardano
No dependencies
Yes, Eth2Ada University is committed to an open-source philosophy. Our project output, including the platform's software and educational resources, will be fully open source. This means the entire community will have the freedom to examine, modify, and enhance our work. We believe in fostering collaboration and transparency within the Cardano ecosystem, and making our project open source aligns with these principles.
We welcome contributions from developers, educators, and enthusiasts to collectively enhance and expand the impact of Eth2Ada University
SDG goals:
Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all
Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization and foster innovation
SDG subgoals:
Significantly increase access to information and communications technology and strive to provide universal and affordable access to the Internet in least developed countries by 2030
The current challenge faced by developers transitioning to Cardano is the lack of comprehensive online tooling and educational resources tailored to Cardano's ecosystem. Developers often struggle to find specific guidance when moving from other blockchain platforms to Cardano, hindering the growth and adoption of the platform. This knowledge gap creates a bottleneck, limiting the number of skilled developers who can effectively contribute to the Cardano ecosystem.
To address this problem, we propose the creation of the Ethereum2Cardano University—an innovative online portal and peer-to-peer educational platform. Our approach combines educational assets with AI tools, offering developers a personalized and comprehensive learning experience. The Ethereum2Cardano University aims to bridge the gap by providing structured educational materials, peer-to-peer educational content and AI-powered tools. This combination will empower developers transitioning to Cardano, enabling them to overcome challenges during the migration process.
In addition to assisting developers, our platform provides an opportunity for existing developers and teams to monetize their knowledge. The Ethereum2Cardano University allows content creators to develop and monetize courses, lessons and webinars for the benefit of new developers entering the Cardano ecosystem. AI tools, including writing plugins and image generators, streamline the course creation process. Content creators can choose to offer their courses for free or charge a fee, with all payments settled in ADA, promoting ADA as a payment method within the ecosystem.
Our project aims to engage developers and community members interested in transitioning to Cardano, catering to varying levels of experience—from beginners to experienced blockchain developers. We actively involve the Cardano community by encouraging experienced developers to create and share educational content on the platform.
To measure our impact, we will gather user feedback and evaluate engagement metrics to assess the effectiveness of the educational assets and AI tools provided by the Ethereum2Cardano University. Additionally, we will track the number of developers successfully transitioning to Cardano and showcase the projects they build on the platform. A leaderboard system will highlight top content creators and the revenue generated from selling courses, demonstrating the impact of our project in expanding the developer community and fostering innovation within the Cardano ecosystem.
Furthermore, our platform will provide resources covering the A to Z of building on Cardano, along with specific guidance on Aiken, Marlowe and Demeter, ensuring developers have access to a diverse range of educational content based on their interests and needs.
The success of the Eth2Ada University will empower the Cardano Community by providing a vital resource hub and educational platform. It facilitates a seamless transition for developers from Ethereum, fostering growth in the Cardano ecosystem.
We will measure impact through metrics like user engagement, course completion rates and the number of developers successfully transitioning to Cardano. Additionally, feedback and community involvement will be crucial indicators of the project's effectiveness.
Regular updates on the project's progress will be shared through blog posts, newsletters and social media channels. Additionally, interactive webinars and seminars will provide opportunities for real-time engagement, ensuring the community stays informed and can actively participate in the evolving opportunities.
We have a proven track record, having successfully delivered a funded Catalyst project from Fund 9. Our current live site, https://eth2ada.com, is a testament to our capabilities. As Tangent Protocol, our 9-strong team has demonstrated expertise in Cardano toolsets, including token farming, NFT staking, and the TangSwap token swapper developed in collaboration with DexHunter. We are currently working on an AI to NFT Image Generator set to go live in Q4 2023. Our team's extensive contributions extend beyond tools, as evidenced by our participation in a panel discussion with industry leaders at the Cardano Summit in Dubai earlier this year. This history showcases our ability to manage funds responsibly and deliver on complex projects within the Cardano ecosystem.

The cost of the project provides value for money for the Cardano ecosystem in several ways.
Firstly, the project aims to offer extensive support to developers and stakeholders transitioning to Cardano. By investing in the development of an online portal, AI tools, and educational initiatives the project ensures that the ecosystem has the necessary support infrastructure in place once the industry sees mass adoption. This comprehensive support enhances the overall experience for developers, making it easier for them to build on Cardano and increasing their productivity.
Secondly, the project focuses on providing resources, documentation and tools specifically tailored to Cardano development. This targeted approach saves developers time and effort by providing them with the necessary resources and libraries they need to build applications on the platform.
Lastly, by fostering innovation, collaboration, and the establishment of standards, the project contributes to the growth and advancement of the Cardano ecosystem. This creates a more robust and vibrant ecosystem that attracts more developers, stakeholders, and investors, ultimately increasing the value and potential of the Cardano network.
Overall, the cost of the project represents a worthwhile investment as it brings tangible benefits to the Cardano ecosystem, facilitates development and helps drive the ecosystem's long-term success.
