There are hundreds of professional groups in existence in Nigeria operating at the national and sub-national (state) levels. While these groups have existed for decades in some instances others are recently formed. The primary goals of these groups are to further the interests of their members collectively and promote their professions.
Besides operating at the national level, some have branches in several states across the country. Some of the associations or professional groups have thousands of members while others are in hundreds.
There have been instances of disputed elections among other governance-related issues thus holding back their effectiveness.
We believe we can enhance transparency and accountability within these professional groups with the introduction of Cardano DAO tools.
We plan to make presentations to the leadership and subsequently to the general members providing general blockchain education and the possibilities of Cardano DAO tools in addressing some of their challenges.
The outreaches and presentations are veritable avenues for onboarding new users and increasing blockchain adoption.
An initial first step is educating leaders and members of these groups on the potential of Blockchain in addressing some of the challenges holding their effectiveness.
We believe the proposal if implemented will have the following positive impacts on the Cardano ecosystem:
Impact measurements will involve the following quantitative and qualitative metrics:
