There are many tertiary students in Technical Schools, Computer Schools and Vocational Schools in Ghana who are not yet exposed to Cardano Blockchain and Project Catalyst. I want to create awareness.
This is the total amount allocated to Cardano Education & Onboarding For Technical Schools in Ghana: Awareness For Technical, Vocational, Computer and Information Technology based schools.
None. However there are Cardano Ambassadors in Ghana who I normally work with.
I will educate and create awareness of Cardano blockchain and Project Catalyst in three schools within 3 months - Technical, Computer and Vocational- I choose one school in each category to educate.
NO dependencies.
Open Source because I will upload videos of the presentations on the education of the students during the program and upload on YouTube for the public and to the Cardano Community.
Monthly reports to Catalyst.iohk.io will contain the pdf report on the program, pictures taken at the event and the video summary.
Education, awareness creation to impact lives positively and bring more innovation.
This proposal is about educating and creating awareness about Cardano Blockchain and Project Catalyst to students in Technical, Computer/IT and Vocational Schools in Greater Accra Region of Ghana so that they can also know what Cardano Ecosystem is and be part of it and become more innovative. Most of these students finish these specialized schools with the original intention of becoming more productive after school but unfortunately some end up with their raw knowledge and are not able to convert their knowledge into real products.
Some of the students in the computer schools want to become developers and be able to write DAPPs and other NFTs but they do not know how to get assistance to do so because of the centralized nature of the financial system in Ghana.
I believe that with the awareness of Cardano Blockchain and Project Catalyst, these students can have hope to become the developers they want to be. They can take advantage of this education and awareness creation when I am able to organize these Cardano events, bring them together and let them know about it. So the main aim of this project is to educate and create awareness among these students so that they can use it and turn their computer knowledge into meaningful and real projects for themselves and the country's development, otherwise most of the time they end up with just knowledge and no assistance to put them into reality. But Cardano Project Catalyst can bring more impact in Ghana. Thus the ecosystem will grow in Ghana.
I will be engaging students of Technical, Computer and Vocational schools in Accra Ghana. I will choose one school from a Technical, Computer and Vocational for the three months project. There will be one session in each month from April 2024 to June 2024.
The videos and pictures taken at the programs or events will demonstrate proof that the program has been implemented. These will be monthly reports sent to IOG Community and videos uploaded on YouTube for public view. The students who get interested to register on Ideascale will be recorded and documented on monthly reports. The number of students attending will also be recorded. The students will be encouraged to participate in the weekly town hall meetings and also to join the telegram platforms with the intention of becoming more engaged in the ecosystem.
Cardano Community will become well known in Ghana and will be perceived as a platform that really impact positively on lives, thus the Cardano ecosystem will grow by the numbers that attend. With this project, I am targeting a reach out to 300 students overall; each school with 100 participants. 300 students knowing about Cardano Blockchain in just 3 events is quite impressive.
This impact will be measured in terms of the number of students that will attend. The target is 100 per each event, but the number may even be exceeded. If it even reaches 85 per event and not even 100, at the end of the project, 255 students would have been exposed to the education on Cardano Blockchain and Project Catalyst and these students in the long run will make positive impact on society and mention Cardano as the engine of growth for the youth and students, even in Ghana and Africa. One may not see the impact now but in the very near future when some of these students become Developers and are able to produce real impact through their DAPPs and other products created, Cardano will receive the glory.
My Funded projects 8 and 9 (Ghana Youth Onboarding Outreach 1 and 2 onboarded 500 students overall from Universities in Ghana when implemented which evidence was shown in my reports. Currently my Fund 10 project which is ongoing is reaching out to youth in 3 Orphanages in Ghana, and this is a great stepping stone which is actually making Cardano a platform that is not only for the affluent but also for the disadvantaged in society. For Catalyst to fund such a project ( Catalyst Outreach 4 The Unreached in Ghana in the challenge Catalyst Open) is really a plus for Cardano. These orphans may not be active now in the ecosystem activities, but in the very near future, they would be great contributors to the ecosystem.
Reports will be shared to the Cardano Community and videos of events shared on You Tube for public view and this will further inform others who will view the videos to ask more about Cardano.

Kingsley Ampofo - He was a Funded Proposer in Fund 9 and completed his project successfully and onboarded about 60 students who some registered on Ideascale. His project was Cardano Students Learning Platform in the Challenge, Scouted for Students. He will be a co presenter for this project. Kingsley is on all Project Catalyst telegram platforms.
There are other Cardano Ambassadors in Ghana that I can call upon to help implement this project successfully.
TOTAL BUDGET REQUESTED : 36000 ADA
Milestone 1 Budget : 12000 ADA:
Milestone 2 Budget: 12000 ADA:
Final Milestone Budget: 12000 ADA:
This request of 36000 ADA is very reasonable and represents the workshops budget for the 3 sessions in line with the general cost of items and services in Accra, Ghana.
This figure is value for money when you look at the cost of living in Ghana and general cost of things and services.
Also, educating the Technical, computer and vocational students in Ghana is a great step to reduce unemployment in Ghana since these students can become innovative and set up their own small enterprises out of the funding of their future proposals and funding in project catalyst.
The Cardano ecosystem also benefits because Cardano will be popular in Accra, the capital city of Ghana and thereby promote the expansion of the ecosystem.
All these above are adding value to the ecosystem and thereby a value for money project.
